About This Demo

Cosmo Corgis

Try the first three planets in Cosmo Corgis, a cozy desktop companion idler. Gather resources, get your first upgrades, rescue three corgis, and rebuild the rocket while you work. Meet Mechanic, Security, and Mining along the way.

This is my first game release on Steam and I really hope you enjoy it! The demo includes feedback and Wishlist buttons if you'd like to help the game along. Oh, and I almost forgot, your save carries over from the demo to the full game!

Rescue the Corgi

Collect a corgi from each planet and make space for them on the ship that Scout crashed... again. Who gave Scout the astronaut his license? No action is needed from you. Scout handles the rescuing automatically.

Meet the Corgis

The demo has three personalities, each with a colored space suit and its own backpack:

• Mechanic, in yellow, welds beside the rocket with sparks and a little "Bzzzz."
• Security, in blue, chases visiting wildlife with an oversized megaphone and amplified borks.
• Mining, in amber, gathers resources with a backpack laser.

Rescue them on planets 1, 2, and 3. Your crew grows with every rescue. They take turns doing their thing, with occasional close-ups so you can enjoy the little moments.

Gather Resources

Scout gathers the resources needed to repair his ship and reach the next planet. This is an idler, so he does the hard work while you get on with yours—or sit back and watch him and the corgis entertain you.

Upgrade

Upgrade your axe to gather more wood, your pickaxe to gather more ore, and work toward Scout's laser rifle. Give his trailing storage cart more room so he can stay out longer, and expand the base storage to hold the haul. The default autopilot handles upgrades for you, or you can take charge of what to improve next.

Repair Your Ship

Scout's ship is what gets him from planet to planet. However, Scout is a terrible pilot and crash lands on each planet. He must build good safety systems because he comes out unscathed every time. Scout has to make more room for the corgi that you rescue on that planet, so it needed to come apart anyway. Right?

Fly to the Next Planet

Once Scout's ship is in tip top shape, it's time to crash into the next planet! Scout and his corgi companions blast off into the cosmos in search of the next planet on their way home, faceplant the rocket and start the process all over again!

Bring All of the Corgis Home

All of these corgis need some place to stay. The demo ends after planet 3, and you can keep spending time with your crew there. The full game adds Clingy, Lazy, and Chaos personalities and continues to planet 10, where all ten rescued corgis stay for a reunion. Keep them company for as long as you like, or choose to restart the journey.

Desktop Companion

The game plays at the bottom of your desktop or in either bottom corner with a transparent background. Keep Scout and his gang in front of your other apps, or bring your windows forward and get back to work. Enjoy the peaceful music and the corgis barking as they play, or turn either off. Your choice.
