A Living Corner does more than play animations on your desktop. It brings together a collection of calming interactive pieces and practical everyday desktop tools in one quiet space.

While you work, study or organize files, the tools you need are always close at hand from the tray. When you want a moment to breathe, selected scenes such as fish and dandelions continue to flow naturally as your desktop or screensaver. There are no tasks to chase and no demand for constant interaction. It is simply there when you need it.

Temporary Shelf: put what you need somewhere close

Files scattered across windows, or something on the clipboard you have not decided where to keep? Place it on the temporary Shelf first.

• Drag in files and folders, or paste files, images, text and links directly
  
• Capture a region of the screen, make simple annotations and send it straight to the Shelf
  
• Open, copy or drag stored items back out whenever you need them
  
• Pin frequently used items and restore recently removed content
  
• Original files stay in their existing locations; the Shelf creates convenient references for quick access

It is not a complex knowledge base. It is a desktop shelf for temporary handoffs, reducing repeated window switching without forcing you into a new organization system.

Write things down without breaking your flow

A notes feature is planned for the release version. When you need to remember a short passage, a temporary idea or what to do next, you will be able to leave it directly in your desktop companion instead of switching to another app for a few lines of text.

Notes will follow the same restrained, non-intrusive design as A Living Corner: quick to write and easy to glance at, without turning a simple need into a complicated task-management system.

Quick control of everyday system states

When you need to focus, present something or step away from your PC for a moment, you do not need to search through several Windows settings pages.

• Quickly view and adjust the system volume for the default playback device
  
• Temporarily keep your PC awake, restoring the original Windows power policy when the program closes
  
• Reopen the controls from the system tray and optionally start the app with Windows

Live desktop and screensaver, arranged your way

Set a favorite piece as your live desktop or Windows screensaver and preview the result quickly. Choose one display or all displays, then adjust animation speed, scene audio and mouse interaction to suit single-monitor or multi-monitor setups.

Interactive pieces, not looping videos

Fish sense proximity, gather, scatter and accelerate. Dandelions respond to wind, time and touch with delicate changes. Each theme is built around its own visual rhythm, interactions and calming feedback rather than merely swapping a background or repeating a video.

The initial release focuses on a curated set of official pieces. We care more about whether every scene feels complete, remains pleasant over time and deserves a place on your desktop than filling a list with similar content.

Gently present, never demanding

There are no daily tasks, countdown pressure or failure penalties. You can interact with a scene, use the Shelf to hold something nearby, or do nothing at all and simply let this living corner accompany your work and rest.
