WELCOME TO THE TABLE

You wake up in a quiet hospital with no clear way out.

Across the table sits the Doctor Dealer.

Between you: insulin pens, glucose strips, food, medicine, a medical bag, monitors, papers and a clock. At first, the rules sound almost reassuring.

Keep your blood glucose under control. Use what you have. Survive. React before it is too late.

Then the Doctor Dealer takes his turn.

DIABETES BECOMES STRATEGY

Your condition is not a conventional health bar. You have to measure it, interpret it and manage it.

Rapid and basal insulin behave differently over time. Food pushes glucose upward. Previous doses continue affecting future turns. Too much insulin can send you toward dangerous hypoglycemia; too little can leave you climbing toward severe hyperglycemia, ketones and ketoacidosis.

A decision that looks safe now may become the problem you have to solve several turns later.

Learn the game's diabetes-management system, understand what the numbers are telling you, and decide how much risk you are willing to carry forward.

THE TABLE IS YOUR INTERFACE

There is no traditional inventory screen between you and the game — only the physical objects in front of you.

Pick up an insulin pen and set the dose yourself. Insert a strip into the glucometer and wait for the result. Open the medical bag. Handle food and emergency supplies. Read monitors and physical devices. Inspect documents. Commit your turn through the objects sitting on the table.

The table is your interface, your resource pool, your treatment — or your slow execution — and your battlefield for freedom.

FACE THE DOCTOR DEALER

The Doctor Dealer exists inside the same fundamental system you do.

During competitive encounters, both sides manage their own condition, supplies and opportunities. Items that keep you alive can also become tactical tools. A valuable resource can save you, deny the Dealer an advantage — or cross the table and become somebody else's problem.

But you will not always know the whole story.

Some information is visible. Some values are hidden. You may understand what the Doctor Dealer has done without knowing exactly how much.

An injection may be a blank — or a real dose of insulin.

Watch his actions. Remember what has already happened. Decide what he knows about you.
