What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“ChillTank is a relaxing aquarium game that we want to develop together with its players. The core experience brings together collecting, feeding, growing and breeding fish, alongside decorating your own underwater environments.

Early Access gives us an opportunity to learn how people play over longer periods, improve progression and balancing, and refine performance and usability. Community feedback will help guide which improvements and additional content we prioritize.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We currently expect ChillTank to remain in Early Access for approximately 12 to 18 months. This is an estimate and may change depending on player feedback and the development of planned systems and content.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“We aim to expand the variety of fish, habitats and decorations while improving progression, balancing, performance and the overall player experience.

We are also exploring larger additions, including tools for creating your own habitats, fishing for rare fish, and running a personal fish store where customers can buy your fish. These features are not currently included in the playable Early Access experience.

These are development goals rather than guaranteed features. Their scope and priority may change as development progresses and we learn from player feedback.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“ChillTank currently offers an offline singleplayer aquarium experience across three habitats: Great Barrier Reef, Bora Bora and Redwood Forest.

Players can purchase fish, feed them, raise their levels and explore their individual traits and values. A purchasable breeding licence unlocks fish breeding. Decorations can be purchased and placed to personalize your habitats, while activities, changing weather and a day-and-night cycle bring variety to the experience.

Progress is stored locally, with support for multiple save slots.

Additional habitats, creating your own habitats, fishing for rare fish and operating a personal fish store are not currently available. Players should expect bugs and ongoing adjustments to balancing, performance and the interface during Early Access.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We plan to gradually increase the price as substantial new content and features are added during Early Access. The final price at or near the full release is expected to be higher than the initial Early Access price. Any price changes will be communicated in advance through Steam announcements.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We plan to use the Steam Community discussions to collect feedback, bug reports and suggestions, and to share progress through announcements and changelogs.

We are particularly interested in feedback on long-term progression, fish breeding, habitat decoration, usability and performance across different hardware.

Community feedback will help us identify problems and set priorities. While we cannot implement every suggestion, we want players to have a meaningful voice in how ChillTank develops.”

About This Game

Your own little world. One fish at a time.

Build your own little underwater escape. Collect colorful fish, raise new generations, and decorate three cozy 3D habitats. Feed, grow, breed, or simply enjoy the view — a relaxing singleplayer aquarium, playable offline.

Find your favorite kind of quiet. Explore the sunlit waters of the Great Barrier Reef, the lush lagoon of Bora Bora, and the woodland calm of Redwood Forest. Each habitat is a new home for your growing collection. Much more habitats to come!

Start with an empty habitat and find your first fish in the FishShop. Feed them, watch them grow, and discover different colors, skins and traits. Keep an eye out for rarer shop arrivals — your next favorite might be waiting.

Unlock your breeder license, choose your pair, and give a new generation a home. Follow your breeding history and enjoy the reveal: a fresh fish, a new combination, and another reason to look a little closer.

Turn a habitat into your habitat. Shop for plants, rocks and decorations, unpack your deliveries, then place and rearrange your finds in Build Mode. Create a little hiding spot, a leafy corner, or a whole underwater garden.

In the FishShop you can buy more fish, food, decor and muuuch more!! Do note prices and fees are sometimes outrageous!

Stay for another feeding, make one last adjustment, or simply watch your fish drift by. Shifting light, weather and rippling water bring your little world to life. A cozy singleplayer aquarium to settle into at your own pace.
