FORM SCS-RIR-01 — RESIDENTIAL INSPECTION REPORT

It is night. You are Inspector 8821-A of Structural Core Services, sent to Unit 47: a 1950s apartment with a family's 1970s life layered over it. The occupant has filed four concerns. The occupant is seven years old.

"The sink keeps crying even when it's turned off."

Every problem in the apartment carries one of the child's stickers. Lift the clipboard. Peel the sticker. Inspect the fixture. Tick the box. Move on to the next item, as the procedure says.

Outside, a storm is building. The heating, the damp, the water, the lights: the complaints are written in a child's words, but the report has sections the child never filled in, and it seems to know where you will go before you do.

Complete all applicable sections. Incomplete reports will be completed on the inspector's behalf.
