EXCISA is a first-person occult horror roguelite played around a séance table. Play the opening night of the ritual, where every card is a choice, every roll is a risk, and something else may answer your call.

THE ANGEL NEVER LIES.

Buried deep within a forgotten internet forum is a ritual said to summon an Angel—an entity that answers a single question with absolute truth.

Your question is already waiting on the séance board. The tarot cards are ready. The dice are in your hand.

Take a seat and begin the ritual.

THE CARD IS THE CHOICE. THE DICE ARE THE RISK.

Every action consumes a turn.

Choose one of three tarot cards drawn from the Major Arcana. Each card can offer something you need—or give something else a reason to answer.

Then decide how many dice to roll.

• 1 or 2 dice are a measured reach. They can bring money, healing, blessings, and ritual tools. They help you prepare for what is coming—but they cannot complete the rite.

• 3 dice are all in. Only the highest possible roll advances the ritual. Anything else means silence. Or something worse.

The dice are loud. The more you roll, the more the House notices you.

FIVE UNINVITED GUESTS.

The Angel is not the only thing listening.

Five distinct guests can answer your calls during the demo, each with its own rules, behavior, and weakness:

• One bites every turn.

• One copies itself.

• One only moves when you reach for the Angel.

• One calls another guest to the table.

• One draws breath before it strikes.

Learn who has taken a seat across from you—and figure out how to banish them.

THE ROOM TELLS YOU EVERYTHING.

No health bar. No timer. No fear meter.

• The room shakes harder the closer you are to dying.

• The burning candles are your clock.

• Your heartbeat warns you when fear is about to overwhelm you.

Order supplies through a disconnected phone.

Ask for ritual tools. No one answers. Moments later, a portal opens above the table, and what you requested falls through.

Blessings can bend fate in your favor. Cursed items offer power at a price. Keep them—or surrender them to the bowl.

The bowl accepts more than objects. When you need better odds, it can take blood instead—health offered in exchange for luck.

STAND UP—OR STAY SEATED.

Win a séance and the table makes you an offer:

• Stand up: Bank your score and leave the room while you still can.

• Stay seated: Sit through another séance on the same night. Every curse still lies in front of you, there is less wax left to burn, and everything you have earned rides on the next one.

Each séance you survive without standing up is worth more than the last.

Push your luck too far, and you may leave with nothing.

THE RITUAL CONTINUES.

The demo takes you through the first depth of the ritual. What waits beyond it remains out of reach.

You will experience the core card-and-dice system, five uninvited guests, ritual tools, blessings and curses, the bowl, and the decision to stand up—or stay seated.
