About This Game

Cosmo Corgis

Gather resources, get your upgrades, rescue corgis, and hop on your ship from planet to planet on the way home. Cosmo Corgis is a desktop companion idler with ten planets and six corgi personalities. The free demo showcases the first 3 planets and gives you the opportunity to make the full game better by providing a feedback button. And if you like it, it provides a Wishlist link as well. This is my first game release on Steam and I really hope you enjoy it! Oh, and I almost forgot, your save carries over from the demo to the full game!

Rescue the Corgi

The entire premise of the game is to go collect corgis from each planet and make space for them on the ship that Scout crashed... again. Who gave Scout the astronaut his license? No action is needed from you. Scout handles the rescuing automatically.

Meet the Corgis

Ten rescued corgis, six personalities, and a colored space suit and backpack for each personality:

• Mechanic, in yellow, welds beside the rocket with sparks and a little "Bzzzz."
• Security, in blue, chases visiting wildlife with an oversized megaphone and amplified borks.
• Mining, in amber, gathers resources with a backpack laser.
• Lazy, in purple, unfolds a hover bed from its backpack and gets comfortable.
• Chaos, in red, does zoomies and chases balls from its backpack launcher.
• Clingy, in green, follows Scout and helps carry resources.

Each rescue automatically fills its +1 personality icon in the Corgis upgrade row. The crew takes turns doing its thing, with occasional close-ups.

Gather Resources

In order to repair Scout's ship and move to the next planet, Scout needs resources from the planet. This is an idler and Scout goes out and does the hard work for you while you sit back and watch him and the corgis entertain you.

Upgrade

Once Scout has gathered enough resources, you can upgrade your gear and storage to make life easier. The default autopilot option handles this for you. Upgrade your axe to gather more wood, your pickaxe to gather more ore, and work toward Scout's laser rifle. Scout has his own personal storage cart that tags along with him. You can upgrade this so he doesn't have to return to base as often while collecting. Speaking of base, it has storage as well. Upgrade it to save more resources, or spend them on repairs or upgrades to make room in storage and then fill it up all over again.

Repair Your Ship

Scout's ship is what gets him from planet to planet. However, Scout is a terrible pilot and crash lands on each planet. He must build good safety systems because he comes out unscathed every time. Scout has to make more room for the corgi that you rescue on that planet, so it needed to come apart anyway. Right?

Fly to the Next Planet

Once Scout's ship is in tip top shape, it's time to crash into the next planet! Scout and his corgi companions blast off into the cosmos in search of the next planet on their way home, faceplant the rocket and start the process all over again!

Bring All of the Corgis Home

All of these corgis need some place to stay. Planet 10 brings all ten rescued corgis together for a reunion. Keep them company for as long as you like, or choose to restart the journey. The full game is in development; the free demo covers planets 1–3 with Mechanic, Security, and Mining.

Desktop Companion

The game plays at the bottom of your desktop or in either bottom corner with a transparent background. It has the option to always be in front of your other apps, if you never want to miss anything Scout and his gang are doing. However, it also has a setting where you can bring your windows in front of it and get back to work. You can have the peaceful music running in the background with the corgis barking as they play or turn each option off. Your choice.
