About This Game

Stay in Your Lane is a side-scrolling RTS in the spirit of Age of War and Swords & Soldiers, where you build an army and fight for control of a single battlefield lane. Grow your economy, unlock units and spells, and break through to destroy the enemy base. Play solo, compete online, or team up for 2v2 battles.

Your troops march and fight on their own. You control the economy, the army composition, the research, and the spells that decide how far they get. Spend your gold on a stronger income, an upgrade, reinforcements, a turret, or a minefield to stop the enemy at your doorstep. Hold out behind your defenses, counter their army, and turn a successful defense into your next attack.

• Build your strategy. Choose a faction and research units, spells, and upgrades through its tech tree. Every unit, spell, and upgrade is an English idiom come to life: send in a Gym Rat, sacrifice a Scapegoat, make it rain Cats and Dogs. Summon a unit type enough times and it awakens with a new ability.

• Fight solo or with a teammate. Play 1v1 and 2v2 matches against friends, strangers, or the computer. Mix players and bots in custom battles, pick the difficulty, and experiment with game modifiers like Sudden Death and Apocalypse.

• Solve tactical challenges. Take on battle puzzles with limited resources and a fixed set of units and spells. Work out what to deploy, and when.

• Follow Buck’s campaign. Buck had a revelation: he has to reach the end of the road. Rival armies and his own brother have other ideas. Help him fight his way forward, one battle at a time.
