A 2D space trading game with a real economy. NPC ships haul cargo between 78 stations and prices move whether you're there or not. Good routes die as other traders catch on, so you keep hunting new ones. No quest markers, no "best trade" arrows. Just you, a map, and the prices.

About This Game

SPINDLEDRIFT is a top down space trader where the economy actually runs. Every price comes from stations producing things, consuming things, and running out of things. NPC haulers fly real cargo on real routes. Find a fat margin and it won't last, because other traders pile in and close it. That's the game. Find the next one first.

Ships have real weight. A loaded freighter doesn't fly like an empty scout. The whoosh drive burns fuel to cross the long gaps, and fuel range decides how deep into the map you can go.

The map starts safe and gets mean. The core is patrolled. The outer rings are pirate country, and that's where the money is. Better engines get you further, better guns keep you alive, and a bigger hold makes the trip worth taking.

Nothing tells you where the money is. Your tools are the map, your memory, and the prices in front of you. When you find a route nobody else is working, it's yours for a while.

AI Generated Content Disclosure

The developers describe how their game uses AI Generated Content like this:

The pixel art was generated with PixelLab. The music was generated with Suno on a paid plan. I wrote the prompts, picked what worked, and threw out what didn't. The game itself, the economy, the systems, the design, the words on screen, I built. Nothing is generated while the game runs. Everything ships as files. There are no AI calls at play time, no AI voice, and no chatbots.
