About This Game

Are YOU chronically GLUED to your screen? Your birds know exactly which app is in front, and they know exactly how long you've been playing games instead of doing homework! They will roast you, with sarcasm and (sometimes cringe) humor.

DESKTOP PECKS is a cute unhinged idle bird game that lives on your screen! You can put the big floating island on your 2nd monitor, or you can shrink the big island into a mini-island and move it to the corner of your screen! The flock gets on with its day while you get on with yours - and they have a lot to say about you, who they refer to as "the tall one"!

For privacy, I don't collect any data, and all detection data never leaves your computer. In fact, the game can be played completely offline. There is also NO GENERATIVE AI in game - all detection logic and roasts are pre-defined, so no one except you and your birds know what you are doing.

Your birds TALK to each other, to the visitor birds, and about you. They know things about you, such as what app is in front, how long you are gone, the current time, and so on! Most desktop pets just vibe quietly in a corner, but these birds chat about you, and sometimes, they even taunt you directly!

Turn on TRANSPARENT Mode and the island floats over your screen with no window frame at all! (Island is always-on-top of other windows by default, but you can change it in the settings)

PERCH Mode shrinks the entire island down to a single ELDER BIRD chilling on a tiny tiny island.

CLICKING and TYPING pass straight through the empty sky to the app behind the game, and you can always drag the island out of your way, so you can work or play other games while the birds chill!

You start with 2 budgies and 2 cockatiels in your house! Earn your way to unlock street, meadow, and volcano (where the locals are a dragon and a cinderfly), and more to come. Swipe to switch the island

Each island is its own community, so each island has its own birds for you to unlock and care for!

• Tap island = grow food

• Tap bird = feed the birds, and they peck the food to produce... well... Pecks! You can spend Pecks to unlock upgrades, buy more birds, upgrade farms, and so much more!

• Build farms to produce food while you are gone! However, you must encourage those lazy farmer birds every day, or they would stop farming and starve the other birds!

• Keep clicking to start a combo, which gives you more per click!

• Your farms will work and your birds peck even if you close the game and come back tomorrow.

Every species is documented in a BOOK.

Visitors will show up every so often to give you a HUGE boost! There are even rare visitors that visit daily, and they give you more the longer you keep the daily streak alive.

The PECK SHOP has a huge list of permanent upgrades that unlock as you get close to affording them, such as "Peer Pressure", "Radioactive Flowers", "Feudalism", and so on. You can also buy exotic foods, and your birds will absolutely judge you (mostly positively) if you buy those!

Nothing in game costs real life money.
