What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“We believe the best multiplayer games are built **with** their communities, not just for them.

Early Access gives us the opportunity to involve players from the beginning, helping shape the game while staying true to its original vision. Your feedback, bug reports, balance suggestions, and ideas will directly influence development, ensuring the game grows into something both our team and our community are proud of.

Our goal isn't simply to release features—it's to build a long-term relationship with our players based on transparency, communication, and continual improvement.

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“Our target is **no longer than one year**.

While development schedules can always change, we have no intention of remaining in Early Access longer than necessary. Once our planned core features have been completed, gameplay has reached the level of polish we expect, and incoming bug reports have slowed to the point that they represent normal maintenance rather than major issues, we'll consider the game ready for full release.

Quality comes first, but we also want to avoid keeping players waiting indefinitely.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

Throughout Early Access we'll continue expanding and refining the game with both planned content and improvements inspired by community feedback. Our roadmap includes additions such as:

- Additional game modes
- New arenas and environments
- New gameplay mechanics and content
- Expanded progression and customization
- Improved matchmaking and online features
- Additional quality-of-life improvements
- Performance optimization across supported hardware
- Controller and Steam Deck refinements
- Accessibility improvements
- Ongoing balancing based on player feedback
- Continuous bug fixes and stability improvements
- Competitive Mode and Statistics/Performance based Leaderboard
- Multi-screen local split-screen (each team gets their own monitor along with one more monitor for spectator for local tournaments or parties)

As development progresses, priorities may shift based on community feedback and what we believe creates the best experience for everyone.

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Full controller support is also enabled along with colorblind modes and partial language localization. Soccer Mode fully implemented, along with local splitscreen. (4 player supported per screen for now, however 6-player per screen maximum allowed in game currently)

Multi-monitor and Online Direct IP multiplayer is added, (Port 7777 for any who need to port-forward) but expected to run into issues for the next month or two until bugs are hammered out. (current priority)

In-game bug reports are greatly appreciated.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Yes. The game is currently priced as is due to the unfinished nature of early access. Once the game officially leaves Early Access we expect to increase the price, but will take community feedback into account before all is said and done.

Purchasing during Early Access not only gives you immediate access to the game as it evolves, but also supports continued development and helps us build the best possible experience for everyone.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Feedback can be submitted in-game, through our Discord, through our community forum on Steam. We will be most focused on in-game bug reports and our Discord server members feedback through voting, messages, and voice chat discussion.”

AI Generated Content Disclosure

The developers describe how their game uses AI Generated Content like this:

AI was used to create textures, some of the code, create a player model and rig it for animation. The sounds of footsteps, goals and ball bounces, albeit mastered, started as AI generated before being edited and mastered. Localization languages were also created by AI. (Therefore any corrections will be welcome)

Animations, music, game design, and all other elements of creativity are the work of a human exclusively.

Badgerworks Studios will never rely on AI for creativity, music, ideas for games, and once an artist has been hired, AI models either. Due to lack of in-house ability to rig models or create them from scratch, the current player model was generated and rigged (skeleton matched to model) by AI. Animations were hand made, but on the AI created and rigged model.

No AI, LLM, of frontier models are being called during game play nor will any introduced features be allowed to do so.
