About This Game

Aquavale is a cozy aquarium game where you start as a Hobbyist who works their way to Novice → Keeper → Specialist → Expert → and ultimately, Master Aquarist. 

Breed Fish to Discover New Strains

So many discoveries to be had! Start with only a handful of fish options but discover new unique breeds as you pair them up. 

Go live. Pull in sponsors.

You get new items to place in your tank by getting others interested in your progress. Get Sponsors who have special requests to get their lovely decor to place in your 'scapes.

Capture the Moments, Share with your Followers

Take pictures of fish in their favorite environments and share with your followers. Extra Points for capturing unique moments for each fish type. 

Build your tanks to your own preferences

Create anything in any color. Water, Decor, Plants, Substrate - it's all fully customizable. 

Scuplt a tank you want to chill on your desktop

Build a 'scape you love and set it up as your desktop background and enjoy the chill. 

Get to know your fish

Every Fish has a temperament with its own unique preferences. Some are more active others are more chill, some are much happier in plant heavy tanks while others prefer lots of hiding spaces. Each one reacts to the environment you shape.

I use AI tools in my process, mostly for early exploration but nothing goes straight from a tool into the game and gets called finished. Everything passes through my hands afterward: redrawn, rearranged, rewritten, and worked over until it feels like Aquavale. AI can help me get somewhere faster, but it doesn't decide what Aquavale is. I do.

I know people have complicated feelings about AI, and I understand why. That is why I believe in being fully transparent and honest about my process. My dev blog documents Aquavale being built piece by piece, down to experiments, iterations, mistakes, and a frankly ridiculous amount of fussing over tiny details. My process is there to see for anyone who is interested.
