What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“Player chaos is the best way to test a party game.
Real matches help me refine the physics, balance weapons, improve AI and online play, and see which interactions create the most fun trouble.
Early Access lets me shape Mana Boom around how people actually play, not just how I expect them to.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“I currently expect Mana Boom to remain in Early Access for around 12 months.
This may change depending on development progress, testing, and community feedback.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“I plan to continue expanding and refining the game with more maps, weapons and magical tools, customization options, improved AI and networking, balance adjustments, and overall audiovisual and UI polish.
The exact priorities may change based on player feedback throughout Early Access.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The core game is fully playable.
The current version includes online matches for up to 8 players, AI-controlled opponents, multi-round tournaments, physics-driven rope movement, destructible environments, magical weapons and tools, and six playable game modes:
Deathmatch
Rope Race
Jump Race
Capture the Flag
Broom Battle
Coin Rush

Networking, AI, balance, maps, content variety, sound, UI, and overall presentation will continue to be refined during Early Access.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Yes.
Mana Boom will cost less during Early Access, and I plan to increase the price for the full release as the game receives additional content and polish.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“I will collect feedback through Steam Discussions, bug reports, community posts, and direct player feedback.
Player feedback will help me prioritize fixes, balance changes, and future improvements. Major updates and changes will be shared through Steam announcements and patch notes.”

About This Game

Welcome to a witch academy where rivalry spirals out of control.

Mana Boom is a chaotic 2D physics party game for up to 8 players online. Swing across arenas, sling explosive spells, crash into rivals, and turn their best plans into total disasters.

Master the mechanics or cause pure mayhem. Both work.

SWING, SMASH, AND EXPLODE

Your magic rope changes everything.

Build wild momentum, swing across impossible gaps, and fling yourself through arenas like a witch with zero respect for gravity. Opponent getting a little too comfortable? Hook them with your rope and yank them right off course.

Throw in destructible terrain, physics-driven collisions, and explosive spells, and every round can unravel fast.

TOOLS OF MISCHIEF

Explosive magic is only the start.

Unleash a growing collection of magical weapons and tools to attack, defend, escape, trap, or disrupt the competition. A clever play can turn the tide. A mistimed blast can trigger instant regret.

6 WAYS TO RUIN FRIENDSHIPS

Each game mode has one clear goal. How you get there is up to you.

DEATHMATCH
Blast rivals across the arena and shatter the ground beneath their feet. Stay out of the water and survive the crumbling terrain to be the last witch standing.

ROPE RACE
Swing toward the finish line at breakneck speeds, or grapple the leader to remind them that first place is only temporary.

JUMP RACE
Master treacherous platforming, or skip the finesse and simply shove your rivals into the abyss.

CAPTURE THE FLAG
Swing in, snatch the flag, and drag it away with your rope. But watch your back near your base. The enemy isn't the only one looking to steal the glory.

BROOM BATTLE
Take to the skies for fast, spell-slinging aerial dogfights with a completely different style of movement.

COIN RUSH
Blast the richest witches until they drop coins all over the arena. Grab everything you can, then watch your back when you become the richest witch yourself.

ONE TOURNAMENT, SIX KINDS OF CHAOS

These aren't six isolated minigames.

Matches unfold across multiple rounds that test different skills. Stack points, adapt as the rules change, and fight your way to the top of the standings.

Dominating one mode is great. Surviving the rest is everything.

PLAY WITH FRIENDS OR AI

Jump online with up to 8 players, or fill the match with AI-controlled witches and play on your own.

AI Generated Content Disclosure

The developers describe how their game uses AI Generated Content like this:

All AI-assisted outputs were manually reviewed, edited, tested, and integrated by the developer. No artwork, character designs, animations, music, sound effects, or other visual or audio assets were generated using AI. The game does not use live-generated AI during gameplay.
