What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“Mana Boom is a chaotic multiplayer party game built around unpredictable interactions between rope movement, collisions, and explosive magic. A game like this benefits greatly from being played and tested by different groups of real players.

Early Access will help me further improve online stability, controls, game balance, AI behavior, and visual clarity during chaotic matches. Player feedback will also help me decide which new game modes, maps, and features to prioritize during development.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“I expect Mana Boom to remain in Early Access for approximately 12 months. The exact duration may change depending on player feedback, testing results, and development progress.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The full version is planned to include:

• Additional game modes and maps
• More magic, gameplay elements, and stage hazards
• More customization options for the witches
• Further improvements to online multiplayer, AI opponents, controls, game balance, user interface, sound, and overall presentation

The exact scope and development priorities may evolve based on player feedback during Early Access.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The Early Access version includes the core movement, collision, rope, and magic systems, with three playable game modes:

• Deathmatch
• Rope Race
• Jump Race

Players can compete online with up to 8 players or play solo against AI-controlled witches.

The core gameplay is playable, but the game is still being expanded and refined. Content variety, online stability, game balance, AI behavior, user interface, sound, and overall presentation will continue to be improved during Early Access.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“I plan to offer Mana Boom at a lower price during Early Access. The price may increase as major new content and features are added, and the full-release price is expected to be higher than the initial Early Access price.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“I plan to collect feedback through Steam Discussions, bug reports, community posts, and player feedback.

I am especially interested in feedback about controls, online stability, game balance, AI behavior, visual clarity during chaotic matches, and which game modes and maps players enjoy most.

Community feedback will help me prioritize updates, identify problems, and refine Mana Boom throughout Early Access. Major updates and changes will be shared through Steam announcements and patch notes.”

About This Game

FRIENDSHIP ENDS IN 3, 2, 1... BOOM!

Welcome to Mana Boom, a chaotic 2D party game where magic meets physics—and playing fair is entirely optional.

Take control of mischievous little witches, master your magic rope, and compete in explosive battles and dangerous races. Outrun your rivals with precise movement, or forget all of that and sabotage everyone instead.

Pull the leader backward at the last second.

Knock your rivals into the sea.

Aim your spell carefully... or blow yourself up.

Whether you win through skill, sabotage, or a spectacular accident, no match ever goes according to plan.

PLAY FAIR—OR DON'T

Each game mode has one clear goal—but how you get there is up to you.

Master the controls and leave everyone behind, gang up on the player in first place, or turn a perfectly normal race into complete magical chaos. Just remember: your own plan can—and probably will—backfire.

MULTIPLE GAME MODES

DEATHMATCH

Blast the other witches with explosive magic while trying not to become the easiest target of your own spells.

ROPE RACE

Swing toward the finish line with your magic rope—or use it to grab your rivals and drag them backward.

JUMP RACE

Master precise movement across dangerous platforms, or simply ram the other witches and knock them into the sea.

PLAY WITH FRIENDS OR BOTS

• Online multiplayer for up to 8 players

• Play solo against AI-controlled witches

• Fast, chaotic rounds filled with unexpected accidents

• Physics-driven movement, collisions, ropes, and explosions

• Colorful 2D pixel art and mischievous little witches
