About This Game

*Long Voyage* is a single-player game centered on survival at sea, resource management, and relationships between crew members.

You are an ordinary sailor aboard a ship bound for a new continent. The voyage has taken far longer than expected, food and fresh water are beginning to run short, and only nine people remain on board.

You need to survive roughly 60 in-game days while facing a growing number of problems alongside the other eight crew members.

Food and fresh water are limited. You need to eat and drink every day, while fishing can provide an additional source of food. As the voyage continues, supplies become increasingly scarce. You will need to manage your own consumption while also dealing with the needs of the rest of the crew.

The eight NPC crew members each have their own roles, jobs, and behaviors.

The cook handles food, the doctor deals with illness, and the navigator and sailors follow their own daily routines around the ship. They do not simply stand around waiting for the player to trigger events. They take part in everyday life on board and are affected by resources, illness, relationships, and events.

You can talk to them, observe their behavior, and gradually learn more about their personalities and their relationships with one another.

In addition to everyday survival, the ship may face theft, arguments, illness, and other incidents.

Some events will lead to crew meetings. Crew members may discuss what happened, accuse one another, or defend someone else. You can also give your opinion and take part in deciding how the situation should be handled.

Your own actions can affect what happens later.

You can choose to follow the rules on board, or you can steal supplies, hide what you have done, and put your own interests first. If other crew members discover what you have done, their attitude toward you may change, which can affect later meetings and events.

At the beginning of the game, you are only an ordinary sailor with little influence over major decisions.

As the voyage continues, the condition of the crew and the balance of power on board will change. You will gradually become involved in more important decisions and may have the opportunity to gain a higher position on the ship.

The first few days are mainly about getting to know the crew, learning the layout of the ship, and understanding the basic mechanics. After that, shortages of food and fresh water gradually become the main problem.

As time goes on, illness, competition over resources, conflicts between crew members, and other more serious events will begin to occur.

The ship itself is the main setting of *Long Voyage*.

The game does not rely on constantly moving between new maps. Instead, it focuses on the same ship, the same group of people, and a limited amount of resources. As supplies begin to disappear, the condition, relationships, and behavior of everyone on board will gradually change.

Your final goal is to survive this voyage of roughly 60 in-game days and reach the new continent.

You can try to maintain order and help as many people as possible survive until the end, or you can put your own survival first.

The game does not force you to choose one approach over the other.
