What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“The game is already in a playable, complete and fun state, but it doesn't yet contain all the content we have planned.

Right now the game covers the full Pre-Ascension journey and the first Ascension — dozens of interconnected systems (cultivation, combat, crafting, sect management, world map, and more) that already offer many hours of progression. However, our vision for the full experience includes at least three Ascensions, each expanding the universe, unlocking new mechanics, and raising the power ceiling far beyond what's currently available.

We chose Early Access because a game of this scale is best shaped alongside its community. Cultivation/idle-progression games live and die by their pacing, balance, and long-term hooks — and the best way to get those right is to release a solid foundation now, listen closely to how players actually engage with it, and build the remaining content around that feedback.

We're fully committed to seeing this project through to its complete vision, and we want players to be part of that journey from the start.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We expect the game to remain in Early Access for approximately one year.

This timeline gives us enough room to develop and release the remaining Ascensions, incorporate community feedback into pacing and balance, and polish the overall experience before considering the game feature-complete. That said, our priority is making sure the content is properly tested and balanced rather than rushing to hit a fixed date, so this timeframe could shift depending on how development and community feedback progress.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The full version will expand significantly beyond what's available in Early Access, both in content and in systems.

Currently, the game includes the complete Pre-Ascension journey and the first Ascension, with core systems like cultivation, combat, crafting, sect management, worldmap and planet conquest.

The complete version will add at least two additional Ascensions beyond the first, each one bringing:

Galaxy and Map conquest
New cultivation realms, mechanics and progression
New enemies, bosses and challenges
New equipment
New powerscaling

Our goal is for each Ascension to feel like a meaningful expansion of the game's scope, not just a numbers increase — introducing new mechanics and challenges rather than simply extending existing systems.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The Early Access version is fully playable and represents roughly 50% of the planned total content.

It includes the complete Pre-Ascension journey and the first Ascension, with all core systems already implemented and functional: cultivation, combat, crafting, sect management, world map exploration, and more. These systems are fully interconnected and offer many hours of progression on their own.

What's not yet included are the additional Ascensions planned for the full release — each one will introduce new mechanics, and raise the power ceiling well beyond what's currently available.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“The game will always be free to play, both during and after Early Access — there are no plans to introduce a purchase price at any point.

We do offer optional support through Patreon for players who want to help fund development. Patreon supporters receive some bonus perks, but nothing that affects core game content — all gameplay systems, progression, and content remain fully free and accessible to everyone regardless of whether they support us on Patreon.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We plan to keep an open, ongoing dialogue with our community throughout Early Access.

Our primary hub for this will be our Discord server, where players can share feedback, report bugs, discuss balance, and talk directly with the development team. We'll be actively monitoring discussions there to understand how players are actually engaging with the game's systems.

Player feedback will directly shape how we approach pacing, balance, and the design of future content — including the remaining Ascensions. We see Early Access as a collaborative process: we'll share our plans and progress, listen closely to what the community tells us, and adjust our roadmap based on that input.”

About This Game

Start as a nobody. Become a god.

You sit. You draw in the Qi of the world. You break through a realm. You die.

And you come back stronger.

Path is an idle cultivation (xianxia) game about the longest climb there is — from the dust beneath mortal feet to a throne above the heavens themselves. Every death isn't an ending. It's a door. New paths, new races, whole
new systems you never knew existed.

At first, it takes you ages just to defy the heavens.

By the end, you conquer entire galaxies on a whim.

The Journey

Origins & Races — Choose where you come from and what you are. Every rebirth unlocks new origins and
transformations: swordmaster, demonic cultivator, war body, and things far beyond human.

Dozens of Cultivation Realms — From Body Tempering to Immortal Ancestor and beyond. Every stage is a
wall, every breakthrough a victory torn from the heavens.

A Living World — Explore a procedurally generated map full of sects, mines, divine beasts, and events.
Hunt, farm, fight — or seize territory and forge an empire of your own.

Deep Alchemy — Refine pills for real: manipulate ingredients, control purity, bend the furnace to your
will. No "click to craft" — you master the art.

Free-Form Bloodline — Build your own bloodline from scratch, piece by piece. Your power, your design,
your inheritance passed down through lifetimes.

Equipment — Weapons, armor, treasures, and soul artifacts. Forge, ascend, and refine until every piece
carries the weight of a legend.

Weapon Skills — Skill trees for every weapon type. Every strike counts, every technique is a choice.

Systems Upon Systems

Path isn't one game — it's a dozen of them, nested inside one another. Dantian, meridians, body refining,
mantras, Dao, heavenly laws, sects with disciples and armies, clans, tribulations, towers, legends... you'll never run out of something new to unlock.

And just when you think you've reached the top? You ascend — and find out the top was only the beginning.

The Vision

I want path to be something that i would love to play.
