“I want people playing it while I work so I can adjust it in real time. I've always loved supporting Early Access games process and excited to make one after many years supporting other developers dreams as a game industry contractor.”

“I expect up to a year. Maybe more, maybe less. ”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“Early Access is planned to begin with seven minigames, a bigger house, a rebuilt Zlorp finale, and four-player local and Steam multiplayer. During Early Access I plan to keep adding games and playable environments until Bad Shrooms reaches 15 minigames all in the same house. I will also keep fixing bugs and working on the controls, online play, balance, and polish. I would like to add support for larger scale play such as 16-64 players across the city. New locations with their own minigame sets will come later as DLC.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Right now the game has free roam, Monkey Bowls, Floor Is Lava, Zlorp Dash, and the Zlorp finale. I'm actively developing better minigames right now. It supports four players in local vertical split-screen or over Steam. ”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Yes. I expect the price to go up as I add more minigames, environments, and polish. I will announce any price change well before it happens.”

You paid a stranger in the bathroom thirty dollars for some weird looking mushrooms.

Now you and your friend are in loaner bodies getting bossed around by an alien named Zlorp.

FIRST-PERSON PARTY GAMES IN THE HOUSE


Shoot your friend off a platform into lava. Shove them down an overclocked Japanese toilet. Steal
their food. Block their ball with a defensive layer of crap.

Finish the objective while your friend is trying to ruin it. Winning makes loosh. Losing makes
loosh. The jar fills either way, so the real game is making your friend's night worse than yours.

Early Access has seven minigames and a completely rebuilt Zlorp finale.

During Early Access I will keep adding games until Bad Shrooms reaches 15 minigames. That is
version 1.0. After that, new locations with their own minigame sets become DLC.

Bad Shrooms is a comedic party game intended for adults. The premise involves two friends taking psychedelic mushrooms, which is implied and referenced rather than depicted in detail, and Zlorp himself is shown taking puffs from pipes, vapes, cigarettes, and similar devices. Gameplay includes cartoon first-person violence between players using toy-like weapons, adult humor with occasional innuendo (including household items played as suggestive gags), mild to moderate language, and in-game radio music that contains rap profanity. There is no gore, no nudity or sexual content, and no gambling.
