A tiny beetle in a very big world

You are the only dung beetle for miles. Your burrow is quiet, your heap is small, and there's nobody to talk to. So you do what dung beetles do best: you roll. And one ball at a time, the world opens up.

Roll your dung

Everything sticks to your ball: dung, twigs, petals, seeds, the odd bottle cap. The bigger it gets, the heavier it rolls. Bring it home, grow your heap, and watch new paths open.

Crack open treasures

Back at your mound, crack every dung open by hand. Rabbits leave burrs and lucky clovers. Foxes leave hair ribbons and red sand from far away. Bison leave fossils. More than forty finds are waiting, and some of them are clues to places you haven't been yet.

Explore new places

Wander from your mound into a sunny Meadow, the shade of the Forest Floor and the dusty red Badlands. Push through tall grass, clear brambles and pebbles, and discover hidden groves and ponds tucked behind them.

Meet new friends

Barnaby the owl keeps a collection of curious things and wants to see yours. Old Mossie the snail needs help with her overgrown garden. Queen Marigold has lost her hive. Pip the frog, Hazel the squirrel, Foreman Crumb and his ants, and Digby the mole all have something to ask, and something to teach you in return.

Play mini games

Dance for the Queen. Hop across lily pads. Find Hazel's buried acorns. Help the ants build a path. Bowl with pinecones. Catch fish and butterflies. No timers that punish you, no lives to lose.
