Why Early Access?

“To continue expanding the game’s content and improving the overall experience, we plan to develop Broadside Bash together with our players through Early Access. As a multiplayer competitive game, an active player community and feedback from real matches are especially important for refining gameplay balance, core mechanics, and online performance.

During Early Access, we hope to gradually grow the player base, gather feedback from actual gameplay, and continuously improve the game based on that feedback, ultimately delivering a more complete, stable, and polished full release.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We currently plan to leave Early Access and release the full version around September 2026. The exact timing may be adjusted depending on development progress and player feedback.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“For the full release, we plan to introduce a wider variety of ships, maps, and interactive gameplay elements to further expand the naval combat experience.

We aim to create ships with distinct appearances and combat roles, each equipped with its own weapons and unique capabilities, giving players a broader range of tactical options. We also plan to add more maps featuring unique mechanics, environments, terrain, and interactive elements, creating more varied battle experiences.

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The current Early Access version already includes the complete core gameplay framework and the main combat mechanics, allowing players to experience the game’s core online naval battles.

At this stage, the game features three distinct ships and two battle maps. The core gameplay systems are largely complete, and future development will mainly focus on expanding content, improving balance, optimizing online performance, and further polishing the overall experience.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“As the game continues to expand with additional content, we plan to moderately increase the price when it leaves Early Access and reaches its full release. The final price will be determined based on the amount of content and the game’s overall level of completion at that time.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We plan to communicate with the community through Steam announcements, discussion forums, and player feedback. During Early Access, we will share development progress, update notes, and future plans, while gathering feedback on ship balance, map mechanics, controls, network stability, and technical issues.

Player feedback will help us determine development priorities, refine game balance, improve the online experience, fix issues, and incorporate suitable community suggestions into future updates. We also plan to communicate significant changes in advance when they may noticeably affect the gameplay experience.”
