What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“We want to develop Osiedlowy together with the players. Early Access will allow us to collect feedback on balance, pacing, difficulty, weapons, items, characters, and progression systems.

The game is built around many possible combinations of weapons and upgrades, so real player experience will be extremely valuable in refining builds, addressing elements that are too strong or too weak, and increasing the variety of each run.

During Early Access, we plan to regularly improve the game, expand its content, and respond to community feedback. Our goal is for the full version of Osiedlowy to be larger, better balanced, clearer, and more satisfying for different types of players.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We expect Osiedlowy to remain in Early Access for approximately 12–18 months. The exact duration will depend on player feedback, the pace of development, and the amount of additional content and improvements needed before the full release.

We do not want to commit to a fixed date at the expense of quality. The game will leave Early Access when its core systems are polished, the content has been sufficiently expanded, and the overall experience is stable and well balanced.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The planned full version of Osiedlowy is expected to include more content, improved balance, and more polished gameplay systems. We plan to expand the game with additional characters, weapons, items, enemies, locations, and new build combinations.

The full version should also feature a more developed progression system, more unlockable content, a refined interface, better optimization, improved stability, and changes based on player feedback.

The Early Access version will include the core gameplay loop and the main systems, but some content, balance, and features will still be under development.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The current version includes a fully playable survivors-like core gameplay loop. Players can choose a character, fight through increasingly difficult enemy waves, gain experience, upgrade weapons and passive items, and create progressively stronger builds during each run.

The Early Access version includes several playable characters with different traits, a selection of weapons and upgrades, enemies with varied attack patterns, and multiple maps inspired by Polish housing estates, including a courtyard, basement, parking lot, and overgrown garage backlot. The game also includes in-run progression, bottle cap collection, and a basic form of progression between runs.

The main gameplay systems are already implemented, but the game still requires further balancing, optimization, and content development. During Early Access, players may encounter bugs, temporary interface elements, and changes to character, weapon, enemy, and difficulty balancing.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We do not plan to increase the price of the game during Early Access or after the full release. We want the price to remain consistent and fair both for players who choose to support the game early and for those who purchase it after Early Access ends.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Player feedback will be an important part of the development process. We plan to regularly review comments, reviews, bug reports, and suggestions submitted through the Steam Community Hub and our other communication channels.

We are especially interested in feedback regarding character, weapon, and enemy balance, difficulty, interface readability, performance, and the overall pacing of each run. Community feedback will also help us decide which new maps, characters, items, and other content should receive priority.

Before larger updates, we may share planned changes, collect suggestions, and compare different possible solutions. Not every suggestion will be implemented, but all constructive feedback will be considered as the game continues to develop.”

About This Game

The housing estate has never been a particularly safe place. Now, however, things have completely spiraled out of control.

Osiedlowy is a fast-paced action roguelite inspired by survivors-style games, set in an absurd world of Polish apartment blocks, courtyards, and neighborhood legends. Choose your hero, grab the strangest weapon you can find, and try to survive wave after wave of enemies.

Every run gives you the opportunity to create a different build. Upgrade your weapons, choose matching items, and discover powerful combinations that can turn ordinary neighborhood objects into tools of mass destruction.

Fight the neighborhood way

Forget magical swords and legendary artifacts. Here, you fight with slippers, pierogi, garden hoses, carrier pigeons, fries falling from the sky, and many other objects that were never meant to become weapons.

Create your own build

During each run, you choose new upgrades and decide how your character develops. Focus on area damage, attack speed, durability, mobility, or experiment with unusual combinations.

Pair weapons with the right items, upgrade them to their maximum level, and discover special evolutions and combat sets.

Meet the residents

Each playable hero has unique traits, a starting weapon, and a distinctive playstyle. Choose the character that best suits the way you fight, or learn to make the most of their strengths and weaknesses.

You may also encounter neighborhood pets and companions that can support you in battle.

Survive new districts

Fight your way through housing estates, dark forests, forgotten dungeons, crypts, and other locations overrun by increasingly bizarre enemies. Each area introduces its own opponents, dangers, and challenges.

The longer you survive, the stronger the incoming waves become.

Collect bottle caps and grow stronger

During your runs, you collect bottle caps and other resources that can be used to unlock new heroes, upgrades, and additional content. Even defeat can bring you closer to creating a more powerful build in your next attempt.
