An idle guild-management RPG about the people you send into the dark — and what comes back. Draft doctrines, forge gear, and march parties down an endless night road. They level, bond, scar, and fall for good. Progress runs while you're away. The road remembers everyone.

About This Game

Embermarch is an idle guild-management RPG about a small company of lantern-bearers

and the endless night road they walk. You never swing a sword yourself. You recruit

the people who do, you decide who marches and who stays, and you set the standing

orders they'll live — or die — by while you're not looking.

Send them into the dark.

Draft a party, give them a doctrine — how bold to be, when to camp, when to turn back —

and march. The road simulates on its own: fights, forks, waystones, and the slow

accumulation of gold, essence and renown. Watch it live on an animated road strip, or

close the game entirely — the candles hold for twelve hours and hand you a report when

you return.

They are people, not units.

Every member has a class, traits, and a history. March together and they form bonds.

Take wounds and they scar; three scars and one more disaster could take them forever —

unless a bonded partner drags them clear at a price. The fallen go to the Lantern Wall,

their gear comes home, and one day their kin may knock on your door. A coward who

outlives enough catastrophes stops being a coward. The guild you end with is not the

guild you started.

Build a guild worth the name.

Raise a Hall of specialised rooms with real either/or choices. Run a Forge that rolls

gear variants and rarities, upgrades blades, and brews field potions. Unlock a Library

whose tomes study in real time — even offline. Chart the road from a Cartographer's

Table and send lone scouts to name the horrors ahead before you meet them. Fortify the

camps you conquer. Take commissions from the Crown. And you are not alone out there — a

rival guild walks the same road, and the camps they take first fly their banner until

you tear it down.

The road has an end.

Eight verses of a buried song lead somewhere. Reach it, and the game asks you one last

question — answered three ways, each leaving a permanent mark on the guild that comes

after. Then disband into Legacy, and begin again stronger, on a road that un-ends for

whoever walks it next.

- Truly idle — accurate offline simulation with a return report; runs live in the tray at a sliver of CPU.

- Permadeath with memory— a memorial wall, heirloom gear, inherited traits, bond-rescues.

- Deep, branching progression— rooms, a research tree, gear variants, doctrines, prestige.

- A living road— five biomes, eight bosses with distinct mechanics, 130+ hand-written events, a mystery arc with a real ending.

- Rivals, forts and Crown missions — the late game is a contested, ownable map.

- One-more-run structure — Legacy carries forward; every guild rediscovers the dark differently.

No microtransactions. No energy timers. Just a lantern, a road, and the people you send down it.
