Why Early Access?

“We want to build the ultimate tactical PvP arena experience, and the best way to achieve this is together with our players. While the core game loop and character classes are fully functional, Early Access allows us to gather invaluable player feedback, balance competitive classes, and test server stability with a real player base.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We plan to remain in Early Access for approximately 6 to 12 months. This timeframe will give us enough flexibility to polish the game mechanics, balance combat classes based on competitive data, and introduce planned features while maintaining high performance. ”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“We plan to expand the game with new features including;
-2v2 and maybe 3v3 team-based arena matchmaking
-Additional character classes
- New arena map layouts with unique obstacles
- A wider variety of equipment/items, and a seasonal Battlepass system.

We also plan to integrate full Steam Achievements and continue optimizing game performance.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The Early Access version features a fully playable 1v1 PvP online matchmaking system. It includes 6 distinct character classes (Assassin, Mage, Warrior, Paladin, Ranger, and Warlock), an interactive equipment and build customization system with reward drops, grid-based arena combat with line-of-sight rules, and an active seasonal leaderboard database.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“During the Early Access/Beta phase, the game is 100% free to play on League Servers. Upon official full release, we plan to implement a seasonal Battlepass model to access competitive servers. However, we intend to keep the entry barrier as low as possible for our community.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We actively engage with our community through our official Discord server, Steam Community Hub, and website. Player feedback is the cornerstone of our development; we regularly monitor player discussions regarding class balancing, item drops, and game performance to implement direct updates based on community suggestions.”

Mind Against Fate combines the deep character customization of classic tabletop RPGs with the intense, calculated depth of competitive strategy games.



Key Features

6 Diverse Character Classes: Choose your champion from Assassin, Mage, Warrior, Paladin, Ranger, or Warlock. Each features distinct abilities, combat styles, and specialized item rotations.



Tactical Grid-Based Combat:

Plan your moves, manage Action Points (AP) and Mana, and utilize arena obstacles for strategic line-of-sight (LOS) scenarios.

Dice & Probability Dynamics:

Manage risks through calculated dice rolls that determine the outcome of your attacks, damage variance, and critical status effects.



Ranked Progression:

Climb through 6 PvP rank groups. Winning matches in higher ranks increases your rating and unlocks access to better drops.

Victory Loot & Class Customization:

Every victory on League Servers rolls a 1-100 probability dice for a chance to drop 'Reward Items' (weapons, armor, magical accessories). These drops add new skills, stats, and tools to your character, allowing you to create diverse builds and unique rotations.


Time-Limited Decisions:

Every move counts. Anticipate your opponent's strategy and execute your own under strict turn-time limits.

Matchmaking Arenas:

Currently optimized for intensive 1v1 duels (with 2v2 and 3v3 party-based matches planned for future updates).

Seasonal Competition, Battlepass & Resets

Seasonal Resets (Wipes): To maintain competitive integrity and keep the meta fresh, all character progress, item drops, and rankings are completely reset (wiped) at the end of each season. Everyone starts each new season from a level playing field.

Seasonal Battlepass Model: After the Beta period, ongoing access to the competitive League Servers will be provided through a seasonal Battlepass, requiring a new Battlepass purchase for each subsequent season.

Permanent Achievements: Excel in the rankings using your League Rating (LR) to earn permanent, account-wide achievements, including prestigious elite character titles and badges.

Early Access Beta

Please note to prepare for the official launch, all character progression, rank ratings, and item drops accumulated during the Beta period will be reset (wiped) at the conclusion of the beta.

The development of Mind Against Fate utilized Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools to assist in the creation of specific pre-generated assets and coding workflows:

- Visual Assets: The portraits for heroes and in-game item icons were initially generated using Kling.AI and Google generative tools, and were subsequently refined, detailed, and polished using graphic design software.

- 3D Models: Certain 3D asset bases and models in the game were created with the assistance of Meshy.AI before being finalized and integrated into the game engine.

- Coding Assistance: Development and implementation speed were enhanced using AI-assisted coding tools (Cursor AI utilizing Google Gemini and Anthropic Claude versions).

We ensure that all generated content has been thoroughly reviewed and edited to meet quality standards, and contains no copyrighted or infringing materials.
