Blotch is a camouflage stealth puzzler. You're a blob of wet paint - match your coat to the ground beneath you, melt into the scenery, and slip past sharp-eyed guards before the countdown makes them paranoid. Blend, don't fight.

About This Game

In Blotch you're a small, paintable blob loose in a world of patrols, watchtowers and locked exits. There's no gun, no dash, no takedown - your only trick is your own color. Eyedrop the ground, paint your body to match it, and the world stops seeing you. Get the shade wrong and a guard's gaze fills a suspicion meter until the alarm drops. Get it right and you can walk past three feet away.

Every surface is real, sampleable color - grass tufts, road lines, cobble grout, a pool of lamplight, even the brushwork of a painting on a gallery wall. Camouflage is measured per-pixel against exactly what you see, so blending in is a genuine craft: nail the greens of a specific bush, dab the right blue at the water's edge, re-coat on the fly as the ground shifts beneath you.

Then the pressure builds. A ticking clock makes the guards sharper the longer you linger. Night levels drop a fog of war - you remember the map but lose sight of the patrols. Late maps stack searchlights, security cameras, rotating sprinklers, sudden downpours that wash your coat clean, and a Tracker hound that ignores your disguise entirely and hunts your wet footprints instead. You'll lure guards with a thrown rock, hose fresh paint onto the ground to manufacture cover, and time your dash between beams.

Twenty-two handcrafted levels build one long difficulty ramp - each introducing a single new idea before it's combined - plus a guided tutorial, an achievement medal wall, and a full level editor with Steam Workshop publishing so you can build and share your own.

And when you want company, take the hiding online: multiplayer hide-and-seek turns the camouflage into a party. One player is the seeker sweeping a fog-locked map with an eraser; everyone else paints themselves into the scenery and holds their nerve - throwing rocks to stun, hosing out fake cover, and whistling to taunt - across big purpose-built arenas.

Camouflage is the mechanic. Paint your blob to match the ground, sampled per-pixel in perceptual color space. What you see is exactly what's measured - blending in is a real skill, not a stat.

Outsmart, never outfight. Read patrols, watch the suspicion meter above your head fill, and slip through the gap. A countdown makes guards more observant the longer you take.

Fog of war. Night levels hide the map and the patrols - explore, remember, and let lamps, crystals and glowing mushrooms pool light to reveal the way.

Escalating hazards. Searchlights, security cameras, rotating sprinklers, cleansing downpours, color-shifting terrain, and a footprint-hunting Tracker hound that doesn't care how well you're painted.

Improvised tools. Throw a rock to lure or stun a guard, hose paint onto the floor to make your own cover, and juggle a two-slot inventory on the fly.

A 22-level campaign + tutorial. One clean new idea per level, from sunlit gardens to a crystal-cavern finale - each with hidden secret spots and a 1-3 star score to chase.

Build & share. A full in-game level editor with a tile-design studio (paint your own ground materials, or import artwork), and Steam Workshop publish/subscribe.

Online hide-and-seek. Take the camouflage multiplayer: one seeker hunts a fog-locked arena while the rest paint themselves into the scenery, stun with rocks, and whistle to taunt.

Play your way. Full keyboard-and-mouse or gamepad support everywhere, with remappable controls and a scheme that adapts on the fly.
