About This Game

Short Description

The Collector is a multiplayer psychological auction game where you bid against three real players for a container full of unknown treasures. Use cards to uncover clues about what's inside, place open bids in a high-stakes environment of shifting information, and compete not for the highest bid—but for the highest profit margin. Spend less, earn more, and dominate the season rankings.

General Overview

The Collector is a multiplayer psychological auction game built around open-bid bidding wars. In each match, you face off against three real players in a five-round auction for a shipping container packed with unknown items—ranging from worthless modern trinkets to priceless artifacts. Use a card-based investigation system to piece together clues about what's inside, place bids that everyone can see and react to in real time, and compete to claim the entire container. Your goal isn't simply to outbid everyone—it's to achieve the highest profit margin. The player who turns the smallest investment into the greatest return wins the season. With a margin-based ranking system, cultural collection bonuses, and a personal gallery to showcase your rarest finds, every artifact tells a story worth collecting.

Detailed Description

Every Bid Is a Statement

You're not playing against a computer—you're reading three other human players. Each round, everyone places their bids in the open, watching each other's moves in real time. Someone just jumped the price by thirty percent—are they confident, or are they bluffing? Someone's been sitting quietly all match and just made their first move—are they baiting you into overpaying? Every bid is a move in a psychological chess match.

What's Inside the Container?

Every match centers on a single shipping container filled with dozens of items—from mass-produced junk to one-of-a-kind masterpieces. You don't know what's inside, but you can use cards to investigate. Reveal an item's quality. Check the dimensions of a piece. Count how many rare artifacts are in the container. Each clue narrows your valuation range. Meanwhile, your opponents are doing exactly the same thing—and their bids tell you what they think they've found.

Cards Are Your Eyes

Draw three cards each round, play one. You might reveal an item's quality, scan an entire category for promising leads, or count how many legendary pieces are up for grabs. The information you gain is private—but your opponents can see what type of card you played, and they're watching your bids to deduce what you've learned. Using a card or holding it back is a strategic choice in itself.

From Darkness to Light

The five-round structure progressively reveals information. Early rounds offer vague hints about what categories are in the container. Mid-game reveals the total value of certain quality tiers. Late rounds might even disclose which category holds the most valuable item. Meanwhile, the bids on the table tell their own story—who's confident, who's cautious, and who's about to make a move.

Artifacts Tell Stories

Every item carries cultural tags—dynasty, kiln, artistic movement, subject matter, material, function. When multiple items in a container share the same tag, they trigger a cultural collection bonus, dramatically increasing their combined value. From the Five Great Kilns of Song Dynasty China to the masters of the Italian Renaissance, from Ming Dynasty scholars to Silk Road treasures—you're not just collecting numbers. You're collecting stories.

Profit Margin Is Everything

Winning the auction isn't enough—you need to win smart. Your ranking is determined by profit margin, not gross revenue. Spending one million to earn a hundred thousand is worse than spending a hundred thousand to earn fifty thousand. Losing money doesn't deduct points, but it won't earn you any either. Your best fifty matches each season determine your rank.

Your Personal Gallery

Rare items won at auction can be placed in your personal gallery, earning collection points. Leveling up your collection unlocks new privileges—more character options in the selection phase, card refresh tokens, entry fee discounts, and exclusive cosmetics. Complete an entire themed set to earn special commemorative coins.
