Each journey through I AM MILK lasts around 20 minutes, but no single journey comes close to revealing the whole game.

Created with a cast of more than 20 voice actors, hours of original binaural recordings and an enormous branching script, I AM MILK is a full-scale dramatic world designed specifically for headphones. Every room, street, vehicle and character is constructed through sound, placing you inside Milk’s auditory perspective.

This is not a narrated story with occasional choices. It is an original form of audio-first gameplay. Voices move around you. Spaces shift. Characters approach, retreat and whisper from precise positions in the dark.

Play again, choose differently, and you may hear an almost entirely different game.

Mature Content Description

The developers describe the content like this:

I AM MILK is a dark, surreal, audio-first narrative game for mature audiences. It is experienced almost entirely through spoken dialogue, sound design and captions. There is no graphic visual depiction, and no explicit sexual imagery or pornographic content.

The game contains frequent strong language; descriptions of violence, death and killing, including shooting as a core player choice; violence involving a child character; and a scene of assisted death in which a character asks to be killed. It also contains weapons, crime and threatening situations.

The game includes references to alcohol, tobacco, drugs and medication, including a plot in which characters’ drinks are spiked without their consent, and references to suppositories.

There are gambling-style settings and mini-games, including a casino, blackjack and a slot machine. These use earned in-game tokens only. There is no real-money gambling, no microtransactions and no cash-out.

The game also contains crude humour about bodily functions, plus adult sexual humour and innuendo with references to nudity. There are no depicted sexual acts, no sexual violence, and no sexual content involving minors.
