About This Game

TEKUTEKU: Discovery Notebook
A tiny traveler journeys along the bottom of your screen.

TEKUTEKU was born one night from a doodle, and travels the world out of curiosity. It finds the small things that catch the light, and keeps them.

I hope it feels a little like traveling alongside TEKUTEKU — gathering the stories of a town, finding some quiet while you work.

Wander and discover
TEKUTEKU takes its time among the alleys, signboards, cats, and tiny shrines. In a neighborhood that looks ordinary at first glance, something quietly sparkles — click it to tuck it into the notebook. These are things you only notice when you slow down and look closely; some reveal themselves only in the glow of sunset.

Record and slowly collect
Each discovery settles into a square of TEKUTEKU's notebook. As the light shifts through the day, the same alley shows a different face. And when TEKUTEKU moves on to another neighborhood, nothing is lost — the notebook, the people it met, and the keepsakes all travel with it.

Right there beside you
TEKUTEKU keeps you company without getting in the way, quietly going about its own little day. When you type, it scribbles along beside you — and on days you spend a little longer together, it might leave you a small letter. Keep it small in a corner, zoom in with the lens, or open it wide — choose how close you want to be.

Neighborhoods that are really there

Every place TEKUTEKU walks is a real one in Tokyo. I walked them myself, drew the buildings and alleys from what was there, and made the stories of each town. Travel with TEKUTEKU, and one day walk the real streets too.

Cute, warm, hand-drawn
Every alley, signboard and discovery is drawn by hand — by the illustrator who has been drawing TEKUTEKU for years in illustration, comics and stationery. No generative AI.
