FlyMuse 2 features a semi-conscious artificial electronic fruit fly with a real fruit fly brain. Approximately 165,000 neurons and over 25 million neural connections link its brain activity to a physical body. There are no scripts at all: all of its activity arises autonomously from its semi-consciousness. You can observe neural activity in real time, tune neural circuits, and explore how different stimuli affect its responses. This “semi-conscious” artificial electronic lifeform will join you on an adventure.

Observe Its Brain, Understand Its Responses

Open the brain activity panel to see how external stimuli and bodily states affect neural activity. Adjust circuits, compare different settings, and watch how its behavior changes. Exploration takes place both in the world before you and inside the brain of this tiny lifeform.

Change the Environment, Open a Path

Move objects, redirect water, and use wind and counterweights to solve the mechanisms blocking your way. A plank, a leaf, or an unassuming everyday item could be the key to overcoming an obstacle. Observe how things in the scene connect, experiment for yourself, and discover new uses for familiar objects.

Place candy, ribbons, and water droplets to draw its attention and encourage it to approach and explore.
