What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“Sundays on the Ridge is a quiet, cozy photography game built around exploration, wildlife, and small peaceful moments. Early Access feels like the right way to develop it because the experience depends a lot on how players feel while walking, searching, waiting, photographing, and building their album.

We want players to help shape the pacing, photo tasks, animal behavior, island atmosphere, and overall sense of discovery. Feedback during Early Access will help us make the game more relaxing, more readable, and more rewarding while keeping its calm and gentle identity.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We currently expect Sundays on the Ridge to remain in Early Access for around 6 to 12 months.

This may change depending on player feedback, development progress, and how much additional content we decide to refine before the full release. Our goal is to use Early Access carefully and not rush the game before it feels complete, polished, and peaceful to play.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“We plan for the full version to expand and polish the cozy photography experience. This may include more photo tasks, more wildlife encounters, improved animal behavior, more places to explore, additional environmental details, stronger album presentation, better balancing of photo ratings, and more overall polish to the user interface, controls, sound, and atmosphere.

Our focus is not to make the game bigger just for the sake of size, but to make the island feel more alive, more relaxing, and more satisfying to return to.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The Early Access version currently offers the core experience of Sundays on the Ridge: exploring a peaceful island, entering camera mode, photographing wildlife and nature, completing photo tasks, and saving captured photos into an album.

Players can walk, run, crouch, use zoom and focus, discover animals, complete objectives, and build a collection of quiet moments from their journey. Some systems are still being improved, including task balance, animal behavior, visual polish, user interface flow, and overall content variety.

The game is playable, but it is still growing.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Game will be free during early access.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We plan to listen closely to player feedback throughout Early Access. We are especially interested in hearing how players feel about the pacing, photo tasks, animal visibility, camera controls, photo rating balance, island exploration, and the overall cozy atmosphere.

Community feedback will help us decide what needs to be clearer, calmer, easier to use, or more enjoyable. We want Sundays on the Ridge to become a game that feels peaceful to play, rewarding to explore, and shaped with care together with its players.”

About This Game

Sundays on the Ridge is a cozy third-person photography adventure about slowing down, looking closer, and finding beauty in small moments.

  • Spend a peaceful Sunday exploring a quiet island filled with forest paths, open meadows, wooden bridges, gentle wildlife, and hidden corners waiting to be noticed. There is no rush and no pressure. Just you, your camera, and the soft rhythm of nature.

  • Take on simple photography tasks, search for animals, frame the perfect shot, adjust your focus and zoom, and capture the world as you see it. Some animals are shy, so you will need to move carefully, crouch, observe their behavior, and wait for the right moment.

Whether you are following a task, wandering off the path, or simply watching the light change through the trees, Sundays on the Ridge invites you to slow down and enjoy the little things.
