Why Early Access?

“Bumming It is a game to be enjoyed by you and your friends, and we believe that the best way to boost that fun is to continue developing it while y'all play. Early Access allows us to keep building and improving the game with new content and features while listening to player feedback and making changes based on what you guys want to see.

Bumming It is a project being developed by just two developers, both working full time jobs to support creation of this ambitious project. We are extremely passionate about bringing this game to life and, at the end of the day, we want to make a game you can enjoy solo or play with the boys for a night.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We currently expect Bumming It to remain in Early Access for approximately one year. However, we also don't want to rush development just to meet some deadline. This could all change depending on if a ton of new features get added from community feedback.

After all, our game is open-ended to "doing whatever you want".”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“We plan for the full version of Bumming It to build on everything that is available in Early Access, but with more content, activities, features, and ways to interact with the world.

More ways to earn money, and more fun ways to spend it!”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“You'll be able to enjoy Bumming It to a core extent during Early Access. Interacting with the world through earning money and spending it however you want.

You can play solo or with friends. And there is already plenty to discover and mess around with, but Bumming It is still in active development. So expect to run into bugs, balancing, issues, unfinished areas/art, or systems that change as we continue to improve the game with y'all alongside us.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We currently don't have plans to change the price of Bumming It when it leaves Early Access. However, that may change as the game grows throughout development.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Community feedback is a massive reason we are choosing Early Access in the first place. We want to hear what you guys love and hate about the game. Most importantly, what ideas you want added to the game that we never thought about.

Now, we can't promise everything will make it to the game, but we want to create a community to have real impact on shaping the game.

At the center of it all, we are making Bumming It for you guys to have fun with, so we want you involved all along the way.”

Bumming It is an open-world life sandbox where you and your friends are dropped into a world full of ways to make money, waste money, and make questionable decisions.

Take jobs. Hustle. Gamble away your paycheck. Go fishing instead. Collect and trade cards. Buy a place and make it yours. Get involved in crime. Or spend the entire day screwing around with your friends and accomplish absolutely nothing.

There isn't one right way to make a life.

MAKE A LIVING

Everybody needs money. How you get it is up to you.

Take on jobs and deliveries, find opportunities around town, build up your cash, or look for less-than-legal ways to get ahead. As you progress, new opportunities, purchases, and ways to spend your time become available.

Just remember: making money and keeping it are two very different things.

WASTE IT ALL

What good is a paycheck if you can't immediately make a terrible financial decision?

Hit the tables and play poker with your friends. Buy and open trading card packs. Spend your money on your home, hobbies, and whatever else catches your eye.

Or grab a fishing rod and forget about your responsibilities for a while.

The developers describe the content like this:

Bumming It contains stylized, bloodless violence, including fighting, firearms, and other weapons. Characters may be knocked out or incapacitated during combat.

The game also depicts criminal activity, gambling with in-game currency, and the use of fictionalized illegal drugs and alcohol. Some dialogue and humor may include strong language, crude humor, and mild sexual references or innuendo.

The game does not contain graphic violence, gore, nudity, or explicit sexual content.
