What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“Tamespire is built by a tiny independent studio, and a creature-collection deckbuilder lives or
dies on its balance and the feel of its roster. The best way to get those right is to put the game
in players' hands early and grow it together. The full loop is already here and fun to play start to
finish , Early Access lets us expand the world, add Spirelings and content, and tune the difficulty
with real feedback instead of guessing in a vacuum.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We expect Tamespire to stay in Early Access for roughly 6 months, depending on how quickly
the roster and content roadmap come together with community feedback.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The full version aims to grow well beyond the Early Access build:
- More Spirelings to encounter, recruit and evolve, with new elemental kits
- More biomes/acts and a wider variety of map events and encounters
- A larger pool of moves and deck-shaping options
- Deeper meta-progression in the Den and additional Ascension challenges
- More achievements and quality-of-life polish
- Refined balance driven by real play data
- Additional language support over time
The core experience climb, tame, build your deck stays the same; we want to make it bigger,
deeper and better tuned.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Tamespire is fully playable from start to finish today. The Early Access build includes:
- A complete roguelite run: a procedurally rebuilt Spire across three acts with bosses
- Dozens of Spirelings to tame, evolve and add to your deck
- The full deckbuilding loop where your cards are your creatures
- The five-element type wheel with a deep set of status effects
- A persistent Den with meta-progression and upgrades
- Five Ascension difficulty layers
- 20 Steam achievements, Steam Cloud saves, full controller support
- English and Italian text
It is a complete, stable game — Early Access is about growing its content, not finishing a skeleton.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We plan to raise the price as we add substantial new content during Early Access. Buying now
supports development and gets you in at the lowest price the game will be.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Community feedback is the whole point of going into Early Access. We'll be active on the Steam
discussion forums, read bug reports and balance feedback closely, share a public roadmap, and let
player input steer which Spirelings, events and tuning changes come next. Frequent updates and open
conversation are the plan.”

About This Game

Climb a tower that never stays the same

The Spire reshapes itself every single run : new paths, new foes, new rewards. No two climbs are alike, and every choice on the map is a gamble between essence, healing, danger and treasure. Reach the top once and the real challenge only begins.

Tame the Spirelings

The creatures of this world are the Spirelings , dozens to encounter, recruit, evolve and grow attached to. Build a team of three, deepen your bond, and watch them transform into their stronger forms at the perfect moment.

Your deck is your team

There are no generic cards here. Every move in your deck comes from the Spirelings you've tamed. Teach new moves, forget the dead weight, and sculpt a deck that flows from turn to turn. Each creature is a little engine , your job is to make them sing together.

Five elements, one wheel

Ember, Bloom, Tide, Volt and Umbra each beat one and fall to another. Read the matchup, exploit the advantage, and turn a losing fight around by bringing the right element to the front. Stack burns, poisons, blocks and a dozen other statuses into combos that snowball.

Make it home

Between runs, return to the Den: spend what you earned, unlock permanent upgrades, expand your roster, and set out a little stronger each time. Progress sticks even when a run doesn't.

Push your luck with Ascension

Cleared the Spire? Crank the difficulty. Each Ascension layer piles on new rules and nastier fights for players who want the climb to bite back , all the way to a final, untouchable run.
