About This Game

DYING = WINNING

In most games you actively run away from the bombs, spikes, saws, fire, lava, traffic, acid, and death rays. In Die First, you dive face-first into them with creative, physics-based setups. Your entire goal is to annihilate yourself whilst preventing your opponents from doing the same!

MORE PHYSICS = MORE FUN

Run, jump, dash, grab/throw items (or other players), and use various hazards to harm your character while desperately saving your opponents.

Discover a multitude of ways to ragdoll adorable cartoon characters across the screen, painting the arena red in the process.

ITEMS & HAZARDS

Every arena contains a plethora of items and unique hazards to help you annihilate yourself and save your opponents. Death rays, bombs, health grenades, gravity wells, teleportation devices, saws, smashers, and more.

Items and hazards interact, allowing for creative physics setups to destroy your character by combining various item effects. So feel free to drop a heal grenade into a gravity well and toss your friend in there to keep them healthy while you run face-first into traffic. It's pretty effective!

PLAYING DIE FIRST

Die First can be played by up to 4 players; online or locally. It's the perfect casual game for some laughs at a party or a late-night Discord call. Only one person in the group needs to own Die First, everyone else can join just by downloading the Demo! (coming Aug 2026)

We recommend playing with a controller due to the simple platforming nature of the game, but it will work with a mouse and keyboard as well.

Rounds are short, often over in a couple of minutes, and the controls are so easy a 70yo grandma was able to play the game in less than a minute and even won her first match (seriously!)
