About This Game

The Memory Mender

A narrative healing game.

You run an old residence called the Hall of Recollections — tucked in the crack between reality and oblivion.

People come here burdened with what they cannot let go: a dialogue long faded from memory, a past they dare not revisit, a farewell they never got to say properly. Your job is to walk with them deep into their memories, mending sights and sounds shattered by grief.

Mending itself is a gentle ritual.

Guide drifting light orbs back into empty frames, repaint faded, dust-covered days; cut through the roar of pouring rain to salvage those heartfelt words drowned out by noise. There is no time limit, no failure penalty — every single interaction is a journey of healing.

Your visitors each carry their own unspoken sorrows:

  • Old watchmaker Master Shen: On the night his wife Yu passed away three years ago, he slept far too deeply, missing her final whispered words.

  • Barista Awu: Cheerful and bright on most days, yet falls abruptly silent whenever a certain subject is brought up.

  • Career woman Lin Zhixia: She seeks not a fragment of lost memory, but her forgotten self — "Who was I, once?"

  • Quiet child Xiaoman: Always carrying a faint little lantern, guarding secrets all his own.

Every choice you make reshapes how a memory unfolds.

Comfort them in the way they truly need: soft spoken consolation, or simply quiet, wordless company — and their memory will be fully restored.

If you fail to understand the fragility hidden in their hearts, the memory will twist into a Distorted path. This is not a bad ending, merely an alternate truth. Every version of a memory deserves to be preserved.

When a story reaches its close, mementos remain.

After every memory you mend, your visitor will leave a personal token: a handwritten line, a tiny drawn painting, an ordinary stone. These line the Hall’s collection wall, forming tender bonds between you and every wanderer who passed through.

And the faint lamp patterns etched on that wall hint at a far deeper secret buried beneath everything…

“...The clock — it needs winding. Don't let it stop. Living alone, the house needs some sound... I'm afraid you'll be lonely.”
