What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“Stick Wars: The Laneborn is being released in Early Access to gather community feedback while the game continues to evolve. Core gameplay is already playable, but player feedback is essential to refine game balance, improve the user experience, and help shape future content. We want to build the best possible strategy game together with our community.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We expect Stick Wars: The Laneborn to remain in Early Access for approximately 12 to 18 months. The exact duration will depend on community feedback and the time needed to polish the game and expand its content.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“We intend for the full version to include additional units, civilizations, maps, gameplay mechanics, improved AI, expanded progression systems, visual improvements, quality-of-life features, and further optimization. The overall goal is to expand the strategic depth of the game while continuing to improve balance and stability based on community feedback.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The current Early Access version offers the core gameplay experience with fully playable matches and the main strategic mechanics already implemented. While the game is enjoyable and stable, some content is still under development, and players may encounter balancing issues, missing features, placeholder assets, or occasional bugs. Regular updates will focus on improving stability, expanding content, and refining the overall experience.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We may increase the price as development progresses and additional content, features, and improvements are added. Players who join during Early Access will be able to support the game's development from an earlier stage while enjoying access to all updates released throughout the Early Access period.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Community feedback is an important part of our development process. We encourage players to share their suggestions, report bugs, and provide balance feedback through the Steam Community Hub and other official communication channels. Player feedback will help us prioritize improvements, refine gameplay mechanics, and shape future updates throughout Early Access.”

About This Game

Stick Wars: The Laneborn is a 2D strategy game where you don't micromanage every unit: you make macro decisions that win or lose the match: when to spend gold, which lane to reinforce, when to upgrade, and how to use your champion.

Three lanes, one objective
TOP, MID, and BOT clash in real time. Minions, towers, and enemy waves advance automatically while you build numbers and crack their defenses.

Economy and deployment
Earn gold over time and from kills. Deploy Soldiers, Archers, and Commanders on the lanes you choose, balancing cooldowns and costs, every call matters.

Your champion: the Warlock
Summon Wraiths, harvest souls from the fallen, and raise skeleton warriors and archers. Rotate lanes at the right moment to save a losing push.

The enemy boss: the Minotaur
Face an enemy champion that levels up, analyzes lanes, and unlocks deadlier abilities as the fight escalates.

In-match progression
Kills, XP, and level-ups for units and structures. Enemy towers and bases grow stronger over time: keep up or fall behind.

Features

  • 2D lane-push strategy inspired by MOBAs, with a stylized stickman look

  • Enemy boss champion with scaling AI and abilities

  • Gold, spawning, upgrades, and leveling systems

  • Single player vs AI

  • Italian and English UI

Playtest
This is an early access-style playtest build. Feedback on balance, UI clarity, and fun is welcome, your input shapes the full release.
