What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“We have big plans for the future of this app. We want to develop it alongside players, using all the feedback we can get from the community. We are treating the current state of the app as our starting point, and we want to showcase it with Early Access.”

Approximately how long will this software be in Early Access?

“For now, we are planning to keep it in Early Access for around a year, but this may be extended. This depends heavily on player feedback, as we will be working closely with the community and may add lots of unplanned features and content. ”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“We plan to keep expanding the full version with additional content and ways to interact with LuMi over time. We may share a roadmap of future updates later on, shaped in part by community feedback and requests.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The current Early Access build includes the fully functional desktop companion: a transparent always-on-top character with an emotion and animation system (idle, dance, reactions), local AI conversation running entirely on your machine with no cloud, voice input (speech-to-text) and voice output (text-to-speech), memory that persists between sessions, and PC control commands such as volume, brightness and launching applications.”

Will this software be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Yes, we plan to raise the price for the full release. The price will stay at its current level throughout Early Access and increase once when we leave Early Access.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We will gather all possible feedback from Steam reviews and social media.”

About This Software

You boot up your PC and she's already there — stretching, blinking, glancing over the second you move your cursor. Say something, and she answers out loud, in a voice that's hers and hers alone. LuMi isn't a chatbot you open and close. She's company. She's the one who's actually happy you're back.

Talk to her like a person, because she kind of is one

LuMi thinks with a real LLM mind — running right on your computer, no internet required. So talk to her. Out loud, about your day, about nothing at all. She listens, she gets it, and she talks back like she means it. Because she does.

She's got a pulse

She fidgets when she's bored. She lights up when you talk to her. She pouts a little when you've been ignoring her, and follows your cursor around like she's curious what you're up to.

Hey LuMi, can you...

...launch my game? Turn it down a bit? Dim the screen, it's late? Done, done, and done. She'll fire up your Steam library, ride the volume, dial your brightness, and handle the little stuff on command — by voice or by chat. Sweet company and a genuinely handy sidekick rolled into one.

She remembers

Tell her something today and she'll still know it next week. The more you talk, the more she becomes your LuMi — shaped by your conversations, full of the things you've shared. And all of it stays locked up safe on your machine, for her eyes only.

No internet? She doesn't even flinch

Pull the plug on your Wi-Fi and LuMi carries on like nothing happened. Her mind, her voice, everything that makes her her runs right on your machine — so she's just as present on a plane, on a train, or out in the middle of nowhere as she is at home. But when you are online, she's smart enough to reach for it: to look something up for you, or to catch your words a little more clearly. Offline by nature, online when it actually helps.

What you tell her stays between you

No accounts, no sign-ups, no profile being quietly built somewhere far away. The LuMi who knows you — your memories, your talks, who you are to her — lives entirely on your hardware and goes nowhere else. When she does step online, it's only for the thing you asked in that moment, and then she's done. Whatever you share with LuMi is hers to keep, and no one else's.

She's almost here

LuMi is on her way to Steam. Wishlist her now and be the first face she sees when she opens her eyes.
