Why Early Access?

“My Racing Car is a solo passion project, and Early Access lets me build it alongside the community. The core experience — rebuilding junk cars from scratch and driving a living forest world — is here now. Your feedback will shape what comes next: Finishing new biomes (winter and desert), more cars, and online co-op. Getting players involved early makes the final game better for everyone.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“Early Access will be short — I'm targeting the 1.0 full release in December 2026, timed with the winter (snow) biome for the holidays. During Early Access I'll finish the remaining cars, add environment detail, and polish based on player feedback.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“For the full release, we plan to open up two new biomes — a snowy winter region and a desert — each with their own roads, atmosphere, and things to discover. We also plan to expand the car roster with more vehicles to find and rebuild, add more detail throughout the world, and keep refining the driving and gameplay based on player feedback. Online co-op is something we plan to explore as the game grows.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The Early Access version is a full, playable game set in the forest region. Rent a cheap place, earn cash, drag junked cars out of the scrapyard, and rebuild them part by part with the impact gun before hitting the open road. It includes around 10 drivable cars to find and restore, day/night cycles, races, a casino, jobs, and a living world to explore. It's stable and playable from start to finish — Early Access is about adding the remaining content and polishing based on your feedback.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We plan to offer a launch discount during Early Access to reward early supporters. The base price will stay consistent. Getting in early will always be the best value.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“As a solo developer, community feedback drives development. I plan to stay active on the Steam Community hub — reading bug reports, suggestions, and discussions — and use them to prioritize fixes, tune the driving, and decide which cars and features come next. Early Access players directly shape the road to the 1.0 release.”
