About This Game

"Automata are family. Doesn't that make this wrong?"

"They were never the same as us to begin with."

◇You are a Tailor — an artisan of automata.

Color Recollection is a near-future human drama ADV. Speak with malfunctioning robots, work through puzzles built on color, and make the decisions that will determine their fate.

"If we ask a robot to take the place of family, how far should its feelings and memories be respected?"

Colorful, delicate visuals — and four automata whose stories will take your emotions apart. They're waiting for you.

 ◇Story

A near future in which automata have begun rolling off the line like any other household appliance.

Even so, there remained artisans who built and tuned one-of-a-kind dolls to order, shaped to each client's particular needs. People called them Tailors, and they said the word with respect.

The protagonist runs a Tailor's workshop out on the frontier, never having understood what their grandfather Claude truly meant by the words he left behind: an automaton is family.

Then, after several years, an automaton they built with their own hands and delivered to its owner comes back to the workshop — carrying a fatal error known as the Fade.

Through conversation you touch their hearts, face what they're struggling with, and are forced to answer a single question: should the correction be performed, even if it costs the automaton every memory it has?

◇Color-matching puzzles — the work of a Tailor

Identify and sort the colors of each part, blend base colors together to mix new shades, fill in the missing patches of a gradient. Intuitive minigames, put together with obsessive care.

◇"Keyword Collection" and "Report Writing" — toward a deeper conversation

During the novel segments, the words that cut to the heart of an automaton's problem appear as glowing text. Unless you click them yourself to log them to your device, they won't be available to you when it comes time to write the report.

◇A decision left to the way you actually play

The report you assemble from the keywords you've gathered shifts the story's parameter toward RAW (respect for emotion and selfhood) or CORRECT (objective fact, and the recommendation to repair).

And in the final puzzle, the choice is yours alone: carry out the correction properly, or fail it on purpose to protect what they remember.

◇Fleeting, bittersweet multiple endings

Four automaton routes — and once you've collected every ending, a hidden route opens up that reaches the core of what this story is really asking.

◇Holographic UI and a chill atmosphere

Holograms, gradients and playful graphics color every screen. Even when you hit a game over, the game stays gentle with you: you're tired, let's rest for today.
