About This Demo

Your first stretch of the canal

This free demo is the opening of Moorhaven: Cozy Canal Life, a gentle life sim about living aboard a narrowboat and bringing a forgotten canal back to life. Take the wheel, moor up at Willowbank and Berry Grove, and see if the slow life suits you.

Bring the islands back to life

Step ashore and clear the junk by hand. Keep what is useful, make things at your craft bench, plant seeds and mend the lock gate between the two islands.

A home that floats

Paint your boat and furnish the cabin your way. Move the sofa as often as you like.

One very needy cat

Look after a kitten who has decided you belong to them.

Meet the neighbours

Carry the post and get to know Bess, Wilf and Hattie.

Fish, forage and photograph

Catch your supper, pick what is growing and photograph the wildlife as it settles in.

Your save carries on

The demo's story ends at the Meadow Gate. After that you can keep playing for as long as you like, and when the full game comes out, your save carries on in it.

More in the full game

More islands and more neighbours, a boatyard where you can rebuild your boat section by section, and the rest of the story.
