About This Game

Worlds of the Sun is a first-person educational space exploration game where you pilot a spacecraft through a scaled model of the solar system. Travel between planets and moons, enter orbit, land in planetary environments, and learn what makes each world unique.

Your spacecraft is your main vehicle and interface. From the cockpit, you can choose targets, view distance and speed information, enter orbit, and decide where to go next. Spaceflight is designed to feel believable and easy to understand without requiring complex real-world orbital mechanics.

As you explore, you will visit planets, moons, and other important objects in the solar system. Some worlds can be studied from orbit, while others include landing areas. These landing areas are focused environments inspired by real planetary science, not full-scale planets.

Learning is part of the exploration. You can discover information through cockpit displays, scan points, plaques, surface landmarks, and environmental exhibits. Topics include planet size, gravity, atmosphere, temperature, moons, rings, geology, exploration history, and other scientific features.
