About This Game

A town, its pipes, and you.

Lifelines is a warm, top-down planning puzzle about the quiet work of keeping a town alive. You are the mayor. Every home needs water and power, and it falls to you to run the lines, the thick blue main, the thin red thread, across a living grid that never stops growing.

It begins peaceful. One pump, one home, plenty of room. Then a new family moves in. Then another. The reservoir dips, a pipe bursts across town, and election night is closer than you thought. Lifelines is the slow exhale before the "oh no" and then the scramble to set it right before the town votes.

Keep the taps running

Draw water and power from your sources out to every doorstep. Lines follow the grid, corners are free, and when the surface fills up you dig deeper to route beneath the crowding. A home missing either line is a home that remembers — and remembers on election night.

Answer to the voters

Every few years the town goes to the polls. Homes with both lines vote for you. Dry taps and dark windows vote against. Cross fifty percent and you earn four more years, and a council grant to spend on fresh pipe, a tactical card, or an express connection. Fall short, and the town elects someone who can. There is no failure screen here, only the end of your term.

Four towns, one hundred years

Start on the open plains of Greenfield, then take on towns that fight back: a valley split by stubborn peaks, a city divided by a winding strait, a grid sliced into islands by canal rings. Every map asks a different question of your network. Survive to year one hundred and the run is complete, see if you can do it without a single dry tap.

Made to be unhurried

  • A soft, pastel, hand-mixed look, generous whitespace, warm earth tones, no clutter

  • Calm-then-panic pacing that mirrors the drama of a growing town

  • Grants and cards that reshape how you route, never how fast you click

  • Full settings: colorblind-safe utility colors, reduced motion, screen-shake toggle, and more

  • Three save slots and per-town best years, so every town keeps its own record

The town waits. Nothing leaks while you're here.

Lifelines: a ToKa Games town.
