What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“the game is designed to grow over time with community feedback and regular content updates.

The core gameplay experience is already playable, including fishing, exploration, progression systems, quests, and multiplayer features, but we plan to continue expanding the world with new fish species, maps, activities, lore, events, and gameplay systems throughout development.

Early Access will allow the community to help shape the future of Fishu while the game continues evolving”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We currently expect Fishu to remain in Early Access for around 1 to 2 years, depending on development progress and community feedback”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The final version of Fishu is planned to include significantly more content, including additional maps, fish species, quests, world events, progression systems, multiplayer activities, hidden lore, tournaments, customization features, and overall polish.

We also plan to continue improving performance, balancing, user experience, and long-term progression systems during Early Access”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The current Early Access version already includes the core gameplay systems of Fishu, including fishing mechanics, fish collection, exploration, quests, progression systems, equipment upgrades, NPC interactions, and online multiplayer features.

Players can already explore the world, catch fish, complete activities, and experience the main gameplay loop, although many systems and areas are still being expanded and refined during development.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We do not plan to increase the price after Early Access.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Community feedback will play an important role during the development of Fishu. We plan to actively listen to player feedback, bug reports, balancing suggestions, and feature ideas through Steam discussions, social media, and community spaces.

Regular updates are planned throughout Early Access, and player feedback will help shape future content, improvements, and gameplay systems.”

About This Game

School was never really your thing.

One year after a particularly embarrassing trip to the blackboard, you're back home, unemployed, and money is starting to get tight.

Your mom has a pretty simple solution: it's time to find a job.

Maybe you expected to end up working behind a counter.

Instead, you meet Potus, a researcher at the SunnyBeach Research Center who's looking for someone to help investigate the strange events happening around the world.

The job sounds simple enough: catch fish.

Well... at first.

FISH, COLLECT, FILL THE AQUARIUMS

Your first assignment takes you to the water, but it won't keep you there forever.

Every region is home to its own species. Find new fishing spots, experiment with different bait, upgrade your gear, and hunt down the fish still missing from your collection.

Bring your discoveries back to the research centers and slowly fill their aquariums. Every new species brings you closer to completing the collection, earning new rewards... and sometimes finding a few answers.

From everyday catches to exceptionally rare fish, there should always be something out there you haven't found yet.

SEE WHAT'S OUT THERE

different regions are connected to one another, each with their own people, fish, places and stories.

Explore divers locations, town, villages, lakes and plenty of other places. Take a boat somewhere new, wander away from the usual paths, search for hidden areas, help people with quests, or pull out your metal detector and see what someone left buried beneath your feet.

Sometimes you'll know exactly what you're looking for.

Sometimes you'll just end up somewhere you never meant to visit.

MAKE A PLACE YOUR OWN

At the beginning, your budget isn't exactly going to buy you a mansion.

Your first house is small, empty and honestly not very impressive.

But it's yours.

Buy furniture and decorations, change the walls and flooring, arrange everything the way you want, then upgrade your home over time for more space and new possibilities.

Eventually, that tiny starter home can turn into something much nicer... even with a garden that has a few unusual uses of its own.

FISHU IS BETTER WITH OTHER PEOPLE TOO

Meet up with friends, go fishing together, chat with the people around you and visit each other's homes.

Trade fish, equipment, items and Bux, compare collections, or check another player's profile to see their level, trophies, badges and how much of the world's fish they've managed to discover.

And if peacefully fishing next to each other gets a little too peaceful, there's always a tournament.

Catch the biggest fish before time runs out, find the rarest one, or compete under completely different conditions. Not every tournament will be won the same way.

SOMETHING ISN'T QUITE RIGHT...

Behind the fishing and otherwise peaceful life in Fishu are events that even the researchers don't fully understand.

Why are these strange phenomena happening?

What are the research centers really trying to uncover?

And what exactly is waiting in the places nobody seems to visit?

Keep filling the aquariums, follow the investigations, help the people you meet and explore the world. Little by little, some of those stories may start to mean something very different.

Of course, you can always forget about all of that for a while and go fishing with a friend.

After all...

you were only supposed to find a job.
