About This Game

Phylactery Slayer is a 2D action roguelike where every pixel of the world is destructible and death is just the beginning. No sprites. No indestructible tiles. Every wall, every ceiling, every surface is excavatable at the atomic level. Carve tunnels, open impossible shortcuts, bury your enemies alive.

You play a cursed hunter whose body is a cluster of particles that bounces, stretches, and crushes against the world. Your mind is the phylactery, an artifact that remembers what you forget when you die, transferring power to your next life.

Four game modes. One dungeon that remembers everything.

CORE FEATURES

Fully destructible pixel-by-pixel world. Every wall has a bitmask. The terrain remembers what you broke.

Five digging tools: free chisel, wide chisel, pickaxe, ramp, and staircase. Sculpt your own path or use it as a trap against other players.

Liquids with real cellular automata physics. Water, acid, and magma flow, fall, and fill containers.

Three playable classes with sixteen base spells. Forge system: combine two spells plus runes and gems to generate thousands of unique forged spells with non-linear stats.

Four procedural dungeon styles: organic caves via cellular automata, classic rectangular ruins, Castlevania-style linear corridors, volcanic grid mazes. Each biome is structurally distinct.

Fifteen enemy types and ten unique bosses with three phases each.

Permadeath with purpose. Essence persists between runs. Artifacts persist. Purchased talents persist. Death is a step, not an end.

Interactive bestiary with animated technical sheets, talent tree with one hundred talents per class, full spell codex.

Unique render based on pure particles, no sprites. An aesthetic unlike anything else.

EXPLORATION MODE (Single Player)

The solitary dungeon. You against the world and against yourself. The pure roguelike: no connection, no lag, no distractions. You delve through procedural dungeons on your own, discover every enemy, defeat every boss, master forged spells.

Pure permadeath with meta-progression via essence and artifacts. Access to all classes, talents, and forged spells. Your own pace: pause, map, escape whenever you want. Interactive bestiary and full spell codex.

For you if you love Hades, Dead Cells, or any classic roguelike and seek individual mastery.

TEAM MODE (Co-op for 2-4 players)

The shared dungeon. What we break, we break together. Pure co-op with no invasions. You and up to three friends cross the same dungeon. The team phylactery is shared. The death of a teammate does not end the run; survivors can revive you by spending essence.

Essence and loot shared between the team. Forged spells can combine ingredients from multiple players. Tactical roles: tank, caster, digger, sniper. No invasions ever, a safe space for pure coordination. Integrated voice chat and tactical pings.

For you if you want real cooperative co-op and just want to explore in peace, distribute roles, build synergistic loadouts.

WORLD MODE (Co-op plus PvP Invasion)

The open dungeon. Your team isn't the only thing alive in there. The flagship mode of the game.

Cooperative co-op just like Team Mode, but your dungeon is connected to the cross-server pool. At any moment, another team of up to four players can invade your run with their own builds, their own forged spells, and a single objective: kill you and steal your loot.

Asymmetric contextual PvP. Defenders know the map and have resources, but they're worn down from the PvE. Invaders enter fresh with full HP and optimized builds, but blind to the state of the world.

Intelligent matchmaking. The game decides when to offer you as a target based on your HP, accumulated gold, depth reached, and difficulty relative to the available invader pool. No getting invaded constantly.

Rewards. If defenders survive the invasion: double essence and a guaranteed rare artifact. If invaders eliminate the defending team: the loot from their entire run plus access to the next biome. In case of timeout draw, both sides lose something small.

Counter-mechanic. The Sealing Phylactery, a rare item, grants five minutes of invasion immunity. For sessions when you just want to explore in peace.

For you if you crave Dark Souls invasion tension but in a team. You enjoy high stakes and emergent stories.

ARENA MODE (Competitive PvP, 1v1, 2v2 and 4v4)

Zero PvE. Zero procedural dungeon. Your build versus theirs, that's it. The dedicated competitive space.

Pre-designed arenas, also destructible, with three layouts: small, medium, and large. Three game modes available. Duel: 1v1 combat, three minutes, focused on pure build mastery. Pair: 2v2, five minutes, focused on duo synergy. Skirmish: 4v4, seven minutes, focused on team strategy.

Pre-built loadout: you bring two forged spells and one gear set. The talents and class books of your meta-progressed character apply. Arenas are destructible: you can carve cover, open flanks, seal off passages. Liquids and environmental traps active. Best-of-three rounds in Duel, single round in Pair and Skirmish.

Ranked competitive MMR system and casual queues. Five ranks: Bronze, Silver, Gold, Diamond, Immortal. Cosmetic rewards per season including custom skeletons, palettes, and banners. Global and regional leaderboards.

For you if you love fighting games, MOBAs, or competitive shooters. You want to test your builds against human minds without PvE friction.
