“We currently expect Shotgun Monkey to remain in Early Access for approximately one year, with a full release planned for Q4 2027. This timeline may change depending on development progress and player feedback.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“For the full release, we plan to expand Shotgun Monkey with new content, gameplay features, and improvements based on player feedback.

Our current plans for the full release include:
*A new game mode featuring three competing teams.
*Weapon customization through a new perk system, allowing players to modify their weapons with different abilities and adapt their loadouts to their preferred playstyles.
*New playable monkey character
*The Glory Room, a customizable personal space where players can view their achievements, display their progress, and hang out, with additional roleplay and social elements.
*Further improvements to performance, optimization, stability, and overall gameplay balance.

We also plan to continue refining the multiplayer experience, including matchmaking and competitive systems, throughout Early Access.

These are our current development goals, and the final scope may evolve based on development progress and community feedback.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Shotgun Monkey is fully playable in its current Early Access version, with the core gameplay features described in the "About This Game" section already implemented.

The game currently includes:
*Take Three, the main 2v2v2 competitive mode where three teams of two compete to achieve the highest score.
*Duel, a 1v1 mode for head-to-head combat.
*Host-based multiplayer and matchmaking-based online play.
*A ranked system integrated with matchmaking, allowing players to compete and progress through the ranks.
*An in-game tournament system.
*Five playable monkey characters, each with unique abilities and personalities.
*A selection of weapons, secondary weapons, and movement abilities, including dash, grapple, and jetpack.

The core multiplayer experience is available and playable. During Early Access, we will continue improving performance, stability, gameplay balance, and the overall online experience.

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Yes. Shotgun Monkey will be available at a lower price during Early Access. We plan to increase the price for the full release.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Player feedback will be a major part of development. We plan to closely monitor bug reports, gameplay feedback, balance issues, and community suggestions. We’ll use that feedback to improve the game and may introduce new features or game modes based on how players experience the game.”
