About This Game

Rune Caves: Eternal Echo is a dark-fantasy pair-matching puzzle game. Dismantle layered rune boards while moving Guardian Echoes interfere with your view and clicks. Decide which pair to clear—and when to act.

Two layers, separate matches

Overlapping stones and logic locks restrict your choices. Clear available pairs to open the board and remove every required altar rune. Match moving Echoes to remove them, or avoid them while solving the altar. Runes match runes; Echoes match Echoes. Crossing layers counts as a mistake.

Memory, tracking, and a tougher challenge

Remember face-down symbols, track blinking runes, and reveal ambush partners by clearing their trigger pairs. Every floor has a mistake limit; late campaign floors add countdown pressure. Clear the 20-floor campaign to unlock a tougher Endless mode. A loss ends the current run.

Return to a forgotten civilization

Descend as a silent archaeologist and uncover traces of an ancient civilization through exploration logs and murals. Generated altar boards contain at least one executable solution path, but not every matching order leads to success.
