About This Game

You are not running from the night. You are carrying the thing that ends it.

Dawnforge Nightfall is a painterly dark-fantasy survivor roguelite. The auto-weapon pressure feels familiar in your hands within seconds — and then the run gives you something no other survivor does.

DAWNBREAK — THE SIGNATURE MOMENT

Every kill feeds a golden Dawn Gauge. Fill it and you choose when to break the night: press the key and the whole arena floods with daybreak for a handful of seconds. You become untouchable, every loose gem streaks into you, the swarm recoils, a radiant sun pulse scorches the dark, and your entire arsenal erupts — every weapon firing at double speed and branding the arena floor with lingering dawn-fire. Build in the dark — explode in the light.

KINDLE THE DAWN

Reach a Dawn Beacon, a Cartographer Beacon or a Dawn Forge and you kindle a lasting pool of daylight in the arena — and every dawn you kindle weakens the final boss before it even rises. Relics bend Dawnbreak around your build: burn longer, reach farther, charge faster. And on Lantern Night the dark swallows everything beyond your lantern; only its reach stays clear, and every foe inside it burns.

PAINTERLY DARK FANTASY

Characters, beasts, towering bosses, ruined arenas, and stained-glass dawn light are rendered in a warm-ember-versus-deep-indigo painterly style. It is built to look like a game you remember.

THEN THE DEPTH OPENS UP

Forge a build across 11 painterly heroes and 12 weapons that evolve into dawn-forms; chart 100 procedural rooms; trigger shrines and route events; bind Boss Echoes, Pact Familiars, and Ascension Sigils. Break the Dawn Eater, then keep going: Boss Rush compresses the gauntlet into a six-minute sprint, Endless Night turns the finale into a repeatable oath chain, and Daily Night gives everyone the same seed to climb.

FAIL FORWARD

Embers from every run buy permanent power, masteries, and crests. Death is a setup for a sharper night.

AI Generated Content Disclosure

The developers describe how their game uses AI Generated Content like this:

During development, generative AI tools including OpenAI image generation and Higgsfield assisted with pre-generated visual source material for characters, enemies, bosses, animation strips, world props and floors, menu and capsule art, icons, and achievement art. AI coding assistants also contributed to production code, QA tooling, documentation, player-facing copy, and localization drafts. The developer selected, edited, cleaned, composited, animated, integrated, and QA-reviewed the resulting material. All player-visible content is fixed in the shipped build: no prompt, generative model, or external generation service runs at runtime, and the game has no live-generated AI feature.
