About This Game

The old gods are still listening.

Long before the new faith, people lit fires for Perun and Weles. They left offerings. They sent the dead to Nawia. And someone always stood between the people and the powers above — the żerca, the priest who carried the prayers up and the will of the gods back down.

Now the gods want their due again. You are their servant. Prove your devotion.

Żerca is a tactical card game for 2 to 4 players, set in a living urban slavic fantasy world drawn from Franciszek Piątkowski's Powiernik novels. You won't find generic dragons here — you'll find rusałki, czorty, skrzaty and żywiołaki rendered as if they truly walked our streets: photorealistic, uneasy, and beautiful.

Faith is the only currency that matters

Every turn is a negotiation with the divine. You spend Faith to summon units, bind items to them, and unleash spells and curses. But power isn't the goal — devotion is. Across the table sit your Tasks: sacred deeds the gods demand. Commit your champions to them, defend them from rivals who'd steal the glory, and earn the favor that wins the game.

A genre built for more than one rival

Most card games sit you across from a single opponent. Żerca seats two, three, or four at the same altar. Alliances form and shatter. The player in the lead becomes everyone's problem. Reading the table is as important as reading your hand.

Two strengths, one soul

Every being you command carries Physical strength (the domain of Perun, god of thunder and war) and Spiritual strength (the domain of Weles, god of the dead and the underworld). A unit's life is the sum of the two. Assign the right kind of power to the right Task — or pour everything into a single, brutal clash.

Death is a doorway

When a being falls, it doesn't simply vanish — it descends to Nawia, the Slavic underworld. And what goes down can come back up. Sacrifice the living to empower the strong. Drag legends out of Nawia for one more fight. Mill your rival's deck and watch their dead drift toward your hand. The graveyard isn't an ending here. It's a resource.
