Why Early Access?

“Blosharper is a roguelike deck-building game featuring unique mechanics based on traditional Korean card combinations (Seotda) and a dynamic 'cheat' skill system. Because game balance, economy management, and skill synergies are critical to delivering a deeply strategic roguelike experience, we believe that community feedback is absolutely essential. Early Access provides us with the perfect opportunity to involve players directly in the development process, gather valuable data on diverse playstyles, and fine-tune the difficulty curve to ensure the final game is as engaging and polished as possible.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We plan to remain in Early Access for approximately 6 to 12 months. This timeframe will allow us to gather sufficient player feedback, refine the game's balance—especially regarding the skill card synergies and boss difficulty—and implement the remaining planned features before our full release.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The full version is planned to feature a broader variety of boss encounters, an expanded pool of 'skill' (cheat) cards, and a deeper meta-progression system. We intend to add more diverse visual themes, events, and polished animations to enhance the 'Dark Noir' atmosphere. Additionally, we plan to continuously refine the game balance, economy mechanics, and UI/UX based on community feedback.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The core gameplay loop is fully implemented and playable. Players can experience the complete progression system—from building basic hands based on Korean Seotda mechanics to utilizing various cheat skills to defeat formidable bosses. The current version includes a fully functional scoring system, a dynamic in-game economy with debt management, multiple skill sets, and complete localization (English and Korean). While highly playable, we are still iterating on visual polish, UI details, and late-game balance.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We plan to gradually raise the price as we ship new content and features. The current Early Access price reflects the game's present state, and we intend to increase it upon full release to reflect the expanded scope, added features, and overall increased value of the game.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We plan to actively engage with our community through the Steam Discussion boards. Since balance and strategy are critical in a roguelike deck-builder, player feedback on skill synergies, boss difficulties, and the economy system will directly influence our development priorities. We will regularly share patch notes and updates, transparently discussing how community input is shaping the evolution of the game.”
