About This Game

A 2D dark steampunk action RPG combining crafting, base building and wave defense in a grim atmospheric world.

Expand the light, explore the darkness and rebuild the last remnants of civilization. Build and upgrade a mighty steampunk city, construct powerful defenses, unlock a vast arsenal of equipment, and create formidable machines to survive against relentless waves of enemies.

Venture into the darkness through dangerous biomes filled with hostile creatures, environmental hazards, hidden resources, and powerful bosses. Unlock gameplay modifiers through achievements to customize the experience and change the rules of the game.

You are a Construct — the last hope against The Darkness. Protect what remains of civilization, rebuild it, and fight back against the endless night.

Combat

Combat is fast-paced and dynamic, featuring a wide variety of attack types including ranged weapons, melee combat, usable items, and powerful abilities.

Each enemy has unique behaviors and abilities, while different regions introduce new enemy types adapted to their environment.

City Building

One of the game’s core features is an extensive base-building system. Construct over 40 unique buildings, each unlocking new mechanics, upgrades, or production possibilities.

Expand your city’s illuminated territory using Crystal Lanterns and upgrade the Main Crystal to push back the darkness, grow your settlement, and protect it from attacks lurking beyond the light.

Wave Defence

Relentless waves of enemies will assault your city, and you must ensure that the last source of true light — the Main Crystal — survives. If the darkness consumes it, all hope will be lost.

Bosses

The game features five unique bosses, each tied to a different biome — with two encountered in the first region. One of them is the Soul Revenant, a deadly corruption lich shown above. Defeating these bosses is essential for progression.

Exploration

Venture beyond the safety of the light at your own risk. Forced to explore the darkness for resources — or driven by curiosity — you may discover ancient ruins, hidden treasures, and lost locations, but also powerful enemies and dangerous dark portals that activate when approached. Do not linger in the darkness for too long. The corruption will hurt you.

Biomes

You will explore four distinct biomes: Barren Glade, Acid Swamp, Grim Storm, and Scorching Ashes. Each biome offers unique resources, enemies, locations, environmental threats, and enemies.

Machines

Build powerful machines to support you against your enemies. Upgrade and customize their equipment to upgrade their capabilities

Crafting

Craft parts, usable items, weapons and equipment.
