Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“I plan to launch the full game at the end of September 2026.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“More biomes, abilities, items, enemies and bosses. A full meta-progression system, achievements, localization, controller support and performance optimization.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The core game loop is stable and contains a fully destructible biome, abilities, stats, items, enemies, relics, elite enemies and powerful bosses. Several unique build paths are possible. Examples include an overheal build which converts excess healing into damage or a throw build where throwable objects become the primary damage source.
Check out the 'About This Game' section for a full breakdown of what's currently in the game. No progression system is yet implemented, so all content is immediately accessible. Expect some bugs, and expect things to change as development continues.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“The plan is to keep the Early Access price lower than the final release price as a thank you to early supporters, though this may change depending on how development goes.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

About This Game

CAN YOU SURVIVE OR WILL YOU CONQUER?

Knightbane is a top-down action roguelite.

Your holy order has fallen and the lands are cursed. As the last knight you fight to reclaim ground from the curse. Failure is expected, but so is growth. 

UPGRADE!

ACQUIRE ABILITIES!

Knightbane gives you two ability categories.

Passive abilities: Automatically triggered.
Active abilities: Manually triggered.

ASCEND!

Unique items, relics and ability specific stats can all massively alter the setup and its synergies.

Want to burn all in glorious fire, that can be done. Want to sit idly while enemies try and kill you but simply die in their failed attempts, also possible. Want to stack crit to an absurd amount such that enemies die in a single strike, that seems a bit busted but ok.

RECLAIM THE FALLEN LANDS

Navigate, destroy and exploit a fully destructible environment. Cleanse the lands, receive blessings. Take on special events for rewards beyond reckoning.
