About This Game

A little ocean for the bottom of your screen.

Still Waters is a cozy idle aquarium that takes up residence at the bottom of your screen.

While you work, study, watch, doomscroll, or do absolutely nothing.

A small, living strip of water with fish, plants, and a quiet little ecosystem going about its day.

You can ignore it for hours and come back to find your fish thriving...

Or you can reach in and stir things up.

An aquarium you can actually reach into.

You know how, in real life, sticking your arm into an aquarium is generally frowned upon? Not here.

  • Grab any fish and drag it wherever you want

  • Toss them around, skim them across the surface, and watch them splash back in

  • Poke the surface to see it ripple, or stir it harder and the fish will scatter

  • Hold food and they'll chase your cursor - sometimes leaping clean out of the water to snag it

  • All the physics fun happens above the surface - airborne fish collide with each other and anything else flying around

It’s not just fish in there.

Beach balls. Anchors. Rubber ducks. Kelp you can rip straight out of the seabed and spin around like a windmill.

Whether any of this is a good idea is between you and your fish.

Somewhere new to drift.

Sunlit shallows. Golden koi ponds. Tropical reefs bursting with color. Pale arctic drift. Deep beneath the ocean.

Each one with its own creatures and its own mood.

New places to discover as you go.

Fill your Fishipedia.

Some fish drift. Some dart. Some hide. Some hunt.

A growing roster of creatures to discover and collect - each with their own behaviors, moods, and quirks. Some traits come down to species. Some are just luck of the draw.

Buy eggs and wait to see what emerges...

Buy more of the fish you've already discovered...

Or create your own custom morphs and put something in the water that nobody else has.

And then there's the cat.

She lives here too.

Pet her. Drop her in the water (don't worry, she can swim). Set her on a boat. Watch her stare at the fish like she's plotting something.

Bring your stream into the tank (Twitch + Kick integration)

If you're streaming, Still Waters hooks into Twitch and Kick automatically.

Viewers in chat join your tank as fish.

They can vote on what happens next, swap up the biome, and stir up some chaos.

Tune it however you want.

  • Still Mode - chill the fish out and keep it quiet when you actually need to focus

  • Background fade - drop the above-water scenery to see your desktop clearly behind it

  • Drag, resize, tuck - put it wherever it fits your screen

  • Boss Key - one key and the whole thing's gone before your boss reaches your desk
