Desktop Oasis is a small living water world designed to stay beside you during everyday PC use.

As you type, browse, work, or simply use your computer, you gradually generate Inspiration.

Spend it to discover new creatures, plants, boats, decorations, and all kinds of curious little things, slowly turning a simple oasis into a richer world.

The Water Is Not Just a Background

The water here does more than look pretty.

Boats, logs, rafts, creatures, and other floating objects can drift, move, collide, and interact with the surrounding world.

Drag objects into the water, change their position, watch them move with the surface, or place different objects together and see what happens.

These small physical interactions make Desktop Oasis feel more like a living miniature water world than a looping animated wallpaper.

From Open Water to Your Own Oasis

As you keep discovering new content, you can gradually obtain more creatures, plants, boats, decorations, environmental objects, and special collectibles.

Place what you like in the world, adjust the layout and viewpoint, and let the same body of water slowly become your own.

The world is not packed with everything from the beginning.

Filling it is part of the progression.

Discover, Collect, and Complete Your Encyclopedia

As your world grows, there are always more things left to discover.

Unlock encyclopedia entries, find less common content, hunt for rare collectibles, and gradually fill out the world.

Every new discovery adds one more piece to your oasis.

Some special discoveries can also become Steam Inventory collectibles, extending part of your collection beyond the oasis itself.

It Can Be a Game—or Simply Stay Beside You

You can actively arrange, interact, and collect, or use Desktop Oasis as a long-running desktop companion.

It can run beneath your desktop, and it also supports windowed, borderless, and fullscreen presentation.

Watch the water move,

listen to ambient sounds or white noise,

drop in now and then to see what has changed,

or simply let it stay quietly beside you while you work or study.

The game also includes a dedicated low-resource mode for background use, designed to reduce system resource usage during long sessions.
