What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“Early Access allows us to listen to players, refine the experience, and expand the world with new environments, entities, and mechanics based on real feedback. You are not just buying a game, you are helping shape the definitive Backrooms experience.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We plan to remain in Early Access for approximately 6 to 12 months. Our roadmap includes new environments, additional entities, an escape mechanic, and an expanded multiplayer experience. When we feel the game truly delivers the definitive infinite Backrooms experience, we will move to full release.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“For the full release, we plan to expand significantly. We plan to add new environments inspired by Backrooms lore, additional entities with unique behaviors, an escape mechanic that gives players a goal beyond pure exploration, and a deeper multiplayer experience with improved lobby systems. ”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Infinite Backrooms currently features a fully playable infinite procedural world with five interconnected environments — Office Rooms, Supermarket, Pool Rooms, Parking Lot, and No-Walls Room. all seamlessly connected without loading screens. The procedural generation system is complete and stable, built on a chunk-based architecture with a fully functional seed system. One entity, the Bacteria, is present and actively hunts players throughout the world. Basic multiplayer with lobby creation is implemented.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We plan to gradually raise the price as we ship new content, environments, and features throughout Early Access. Players who support the game early will get the best price and will own all future updates at no additional cost. We believe in rewarding the community that helps shape the game from the beginning.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“The community will be at the center of our development process. We plan to actively monitor and engage with player feedback through Steam Discussions, Discord, and social media. Community input will directly influence priorities, from new environments and entities to gameplay mechanics and performance improvements. ”

About This Game

You can always go further. The question is whether you should. Welcome to the Infinite Backrooms.

An endless, procedurally generated maze where every step can lead somewhere new. Rooms, corridors, dead ends, and entire areas are generated from a seed as you explore, meaning every game can unfold differently.

There is no map to memorize.... There is no safe route.... and you never know what is waiting around the next corner.

A World That Never Repeats

The world is generated from a seed and can extend roughly 2.15 million kilometers in any direction from your starting point, around 11 times the distance from Earth to the Moon.

The question isn't where the maze ends. It's whether you'll make it there.

No loading screens. No level select. No boundaries.

Survival Is Part of the Horror

Your hunger, sanity, and flashlight battery constantly drain as you explore. Search abandoned areas for food, batteries, and other useful items while trying to keep yourself alive.

And when the lights go out, things get worse.

Each level has its own day/night cycle, eventually plunging the environment into complete darkness.

Stay prepared. Stay together. And whatever you do...

don't waste your flashlight.

One Endless World.

Unlike other Backrooms games that isolate each level behind a loading screen, Infinite Backrooms connects all rooms, corridors and levels into a single living map:

The world transitions around you, familiar places becoming unfamiliar, comfortable spaces becoming wrong.

Play Alone or With Friends

Explore the Backrooms solo or in online co-op with up to 6 players.
Stick together to survive. Split up to cover more ground.

You're Not Alone

The Backrooms are not empty. Some entities hunt by sound. Some only appear in darkness.

And some are simply waiting for you to make a mistake.

Every run is different. Every decision matters.
